Good review, I personally like using my favourite team on it (Torterra, Magmortar, Lumineon, Electivire, Rhyperior and Staraptor ;D). But now Game Freak are putting more attention on the "bad guys". In Red and Blue, Team Rocket were just a bunch of people trying to make a quick buck, but now the baddies are all about taking over the world, or in this game, creating a new one. Still, its a great game.

FFTA battle system is "tactics". There are Pokemon games that EXIST with a tactics system of sorts, that would be the Mystery Dungeon series. I played through and beat Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. You are a Pokemon with a partner (if either of you are knocked out, you fail the mission)- you also can travel with two other teammates, controlling them all at once to fight other wild Pokemon. I wouldn't say it's a true tactics system, but it's very, very similar- you travel normally until you encounter wild Pokemon, in which each step you take thereafter counts as a move. Some attacks (like quick attack) can attack from two tiles away, some can attack from across the corner of a wall at a diagonal angle, and etc. Wild Pokemon that are KO'd will sometimes ask if they can join your party. It's not challenging at all until you beat the game and unlock other areas that reset your stats and make you go through hundreds of floors and without your recovery items.

So anyway, yes, Pokemon DID try a tactics battle system, it wasn't really all that great.

I was just skimming through some of the posts...and I saw something about Cinnabar Island.

All of my friends would pretty much die through Seafoam Islands, where I would immediately fly to Pallet and just surf right on down, in less than 5 minutes...

I was 7 when I figured that out...

Guys, some(or maybe all) of you finished this game right? Did you catch Dialga/Palkia? I read somewhere that you can't use them even if you catch them, is that true? I only just played till hearthome so i don't know. Damn exam took my time..

You can catch them... Just after beating the Elite Four, you go to Mt.Coronet and find both orbs hidden somewhere in the cave, and then go to the peak of Mt.Coronet and you'll see a blue diamond. Approach it, and Battle Dialga (TOOK ME ONE ULTRA BALL) and then leave the room and re-eneter again and see a pink diamond. Approach it, and Battle Palkia (TOOK ME TWO ULTRA BALLS) and there you go. And Yes, you can use them.

This is specifically for Platinum, in D/P you can only catch one respective to the game version.
