No, you need to use a DSi compatible flashcart, such as Acekard 2i or M3i Zero etc.

I'm currently using a 8gb scandisk playing games, movies and music and works perfectly.

I think in there updates they have even fixed the problem for Browsers inside story!

The only thing that I wish it had was internal ram so I could play gba on it.

sorry if this sounds a bit basic for some but new r4 cards etc i have just brought a new r4 card the revolution r4-III and have down loaded the firmware for this card but theres so much of it i don't know what files i should be putting on the card I've tryed the basics and when i put it in the ds it just keeps coming up loading please please someone help me

 

You also have R4i and the R4i RTS (an r4 clone that work on all (NDS NDS Lite DSI) )

When you've donwloaded the firmwire, what mostly comes in .RAR extract the whlle file the you're root of your SD (when you open the .RAR file with winrar click extract in the program and then select the location of your Sd card (E:\ or F:\)and extract everything .

then put in the micro SD card in your R4 cartridge and put in in your Ds and turn it on

keeps ypour Ds saying LOADING..... it is possible you've the wrong firmwire
on the box of your r4 is a website that is the site with the right firmwire other
firmwires won't wirk then it only says LOADING..... (I know it because I have it quit oft)

Which type of R4 do you have ?

 

my r4 card is a revolution r4-III upgrade

 

do you have the original box for it?, as a web address will be printed on the bottom, go there for your firmware

 

yes from this u get link to down load firmware done this n downloaded version 4.02 n extractedc it theres so mahny files ive tried using just menu dat and ds mshl nds file n then added nds files but all i get is black screen sayin loading then nothing happens

 

that doesn't sound right to me, i have had a couple of R4's as you have got, but i've never had firmware with that version

if you start a game do you see a screen with R4 I?
if yes then you'll need this firmwire llised above

i'ver never heard of a r4 version with 4.02 though ACEcard does have that number
of firmwire as i recall ( could be a diffrent name )

I have a r4I rts 3 Ultra upgrade and the site listed aboave is the firmwire i use there are 2 kind

v2.4a for the r4I---> is the one you'll need if i have it correct
V1.4 DSI

what is the best software for converting films to play on ds

 

hi, having a prob here.... I bought an edge r4 last year for my sons ds, its worked perfectly didnt have to do anything, except drag and drop..... My daugher wants one this year, apparently edge are nowhere to be seen... whats the next best thing? i need easy use...... and i need to know exactly what to buy... i had a look online at some and, there seems to be adaptors and allsorts to buy along with the cards.... im lost.... and very confused now.... all replys (as long as sensible) are welcomed and appreciated. thanks

 

Can anyone find a me a DSTT for sale? I found one, but I'm pretty sure its fake, even since the comments from some of the buyers said it was fake, but worked as well..

Well, still. I have a DSTT original and its fake and it screws up the files inside my SD card when I use it.DX

 

I still have my R4I RTS but I'm using my Acekard2i now
it is a much better card than R4 and is has many functions

if i knew it before I'd bought one earlier because most of my
problems that I had with R4 are gone now

Im totally lost. I accidently upgraded my DSi to get the new Flipnote thingy for my brother and now my R4i Gold doesn't work anymore and the most recent update is nowhere to be found. I really need some help. Thanks in advance .
