    But I did read in a few places there is a patch you can use on Desmume that allows you to use your computer keyboard.

    Desmume can use the keybord as is without patch, you only need the Action Replay code to load the game .

    EDIT: ops sorry onscreen keybord, Sorry they is no pc compter keyboard.

    are get the pre-patched rom .

    There was a lua script for DeSmuME which allowed you to use the PC keyboard.
    I don't know if that realy workes, because all the links I have found were already broken.
    The file should be called "Pokémon Typing DS Keyboard Script.lua" or something like that.

    Oops... I must have forgotten about that LUA SCRIPT for use on that game rom with DeSmuMe, when I do have it in my emulator folder. :p
    Yes, you do can use your PC keyboard to play, but it's so damn buggy. So often it fail to properly detect which key you press (especially menu related). And on DeSmuMe, it does cause the top screen to go black, when you're suppose to be seeing a rolling pokeball with alphabets going down hill towards you).

    HERE : DOWNLOAD THIS FILE

    Steps:
    1. Download the file provided above
    2. Extract and place it in your DeSmuMe Folder
    3. Press FILE
    4. Choose LUA SCRIPTING
    5. Choose NEW LUA SCRIPT WINDOW
    6. Choose BROWSE
    7. Choose the POKEMON TYPING SCRIPT LUA file, and press OK/LOAD
    8. Press FILE and Load the game rom
    9. Press RUN on the lua script window
    10. You should now be able to use both the PC keyboard buttons and the mouse

    You will have to keep an eye on the lua window, sometimes (often in fact) you'll need to press it's RESTART button. As I said earlier, it's buggy and slow to respond. You could improve the speed a bit by pressing " + " on your keyboard PC to increase the fps rate.

    But still it's not possible to save the game progress. It does looks as if you are able to create a save file while using a patched rom (patch the rom using DS-SCENE ROM TOOL), but in reality when you shut down the emulator and re-play the game, the save file isn't loadable. Take a look at the command window in the above picture, clearly there stated that the save file is missing even though it looked like it was created from the beginning. That's that, hope this answers your questions.

    Think the French one might be OK.

    But Dicastia-Patch is not patching the EUR ROM proper, So will have to come up a diffrent patch er

    He fixed the Japan one to :)
