Oh i see...so basicaly the difficulty level can screw up the "fun of it all". I will give it a go when i finish Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume


on a side note: does anybody feel Nintendo should emphasize more on the games like Mario World for the DS or something like that? I mean,why on earth is there no other Ninja-themed games on DS or other Mario World(s) for the DS ? Sure,there is for the GBA but my DSi has no gba slot and i dont want to buy a GBA,dammit. 2 Ninja themed games ...in jump'n'run style that are worth mentioning.
I dont get it ... DS has so many fantastic RPG games...and alot of other nonsense. But we have only 2 Mario platformers (minis march again does not count). Also, NSMB is extremely fun but... why did they strip down the powerups.Wii version is so cooler,dammit! I dont want to buy a Wii !


Ok im done ... sorry folks,i just had to say it.I have nothing against the GOOD GAMES on the DS,mind you.But maybe there should be more games other than Tactics RPG or turn-based RPG games.Im not saying they should slow down in making RPG games... i love RPGs,but i miss games like Contra (yes its on the DS,i know),Turrican,Mario,Shadow Warriors,Shinobi... you know,the basic stuff.


I heard Infinite Space has alot of random battles... this can be a potential let-down folks

Hmm,im rather fond of my DSi ,although it is pretty stupid from developers to not include Virtual Console on DSiware... not to mention the DSi has twice the power and they didnt even tap into that.Useless music player... man,this console could be a fantastic social-network/communication tool (they rejected the Skype proposal,for fuck's sake!)... it could realy be an interesting thing to have.But ofcourse,they had to fuck up somehow.God forbid they didnt - they wouldnt sleep at night if they didnt.

I am considering PSP for all the different reasons though... i dont think it has better RPG games.It does however have other Castlevania titles and more platformers,right? Hmmm ... also i like the fact that is completely internet-ish (you know...you can connect and do virtualy anythin online with it...Christ,my friend even uses it as a navigation tool.I mean, wooow!)

oh wait,Castlevania is an action/adventure game,right? Ah well... DS has 3 Castlevania games that realy are kick-ass though

IF Nintendo ,till Q4 of this year, doesnt invent something radical for my DSi ...i will buy a PSP asap.You just helped me make a decision,thanks

^ That's why I'm not going to buy a DSi. Nintendo should of either 1) bit the bullet & released the next handheld, with significantly better specs, or 2) released a cheaper, lower tier DS (take out the GBA slot, the headset slot, maybe reduce the size ala GBA Micro). Instead, they went halfway on both paths & made a silly, overpriced DS 2.0 with useless crappy cameras on it. @_@ Not to insult people that have bought a DSi & are happy with it, but urgh - just the cutting of the GBA slot makes it worthless to me.

Anyways! This topic is about DS RPGS. XD I guess the next RPG that's coming out I'm interested in is Sands of Destruction, too. Even though I read an article that SEGA took advice from Western gamers & made several changes, including to the soundtrack. I just hope feedback+changes don't mean the game is stupidly easy. @__@;;

Dragon Master is lame... I have the rom somewhere and it's not all that fun, the graphics aren't that great and the game play is choppy...

When's A.S.H coming out? (Archaic Sealed Heat)

It hasn't been announced for a localization but a guy at gbatemp has completed translation which is now at the beta testing stage,and should be out soon

Isn't it already out in Europe and doesn't it include english?

Well i understood it quite quickly...but dont bother looking in the tutorials - they are horrible.It doesnt explain one fucking thing properly!
Also,i dont see the point of watching the actual battles,since they are so quickly OVER you cant even "enjoy" the view of battles.It realy sucks that every action you must do in the map you can do it on a certain month of the year.

On the other hand,i realy liked the atmosphere and the graphics.Seriously,it is gorgeous to me ... nicely done.

But it realy lacks depth.You have the feeling you are doing nothing and no alliance counts for anything.Its like a strategy game putt together in 2 weeks and the story is one big WTF. I hope the sequel will give you the ability to send spies,to do all the actions (well,you could choose 2 per months,but it would be the player's choice!).Maybe more animations in the map.

It realy looks promising.It is also kind of addictive,but when your ass gets kicked for the first time,it just doesnt seem worth it to rectify your mistake.I dont know...the only word i can describe this game is "Meh..."

INDEED! what the F was that all about ?! ah man,this game could be SOOOOO good ,but they made it all wrong... seriously,i think it has potential (in the sequel...if there will be one)
