I had like, one game over in my EF playthrough, and it was from the last boss when he used Fear.
Devil Survivor is a different story, though. The 7th day is grind day (except Yuzu's path).
But it is hard to find good difficult RPGs on the DS. But then it feels just about right. At least... That's how I feel.

You're joking, right? I only had game over once in this game, I even thought it's stupid how long are boss fights and they offer very little challenge. I hope Exceed will be harder, I wanna die more times :p!!

The whole boss discussion made me remenber of the end of the Digimon world DS (the first one)

Cannot explain my WTF face when I noticed that the mini-boss before the last one was hitting me for 1xx, The first phase of the last boss was hitting me for 20x and the second phase was hitting me from 1000~1500 Oo

About Devil Survivr I gave up the game. I just doesn't have the patience for Strategic Games >_>

SMT Devil Survivor's difficulty is mostly just the requirement to grind. It's more of a time commitment than a challenge... but I suppose a lot of RPGs could be shuffled into the same category. SMT DS just kind of beats your ass if you neglect grinding. >_< I'm not interested in game design or creating the 'perfect' RPG though, just playing ones that come close. <3

I don't like strategic games and tactical games. SMT:DS was an exception though, it did not play the same as previous tacticals.

    Pretty much this.

That why I like Fire Emblem. There is no grinding. You just need to pay attention to the characteres pick enough exp to evolve and the strategy to beat the boss.

FE is the only Strategic game that I played more than 3 times and would play it again.
    Same for Vakyrie Profile DS

I didn't care much for Fire Emblem on DS its ok and I understand it was a remake of the original, but I liked the 2 that was on GBA a lot better. speaking of which I need to locate the GC and Wii versions...

Don't have anything modded to play it, and I doubt dolphin will work well on this P.O.S. laptop.

Well, in my first walkthrough I was running around waiting for random encounters all the time (cuz they are FUN ;D), so I was probably overleveled :D

I do not understand this part, please explain ??? I'm not english ya know...

Play in japanese. This game is easy to play even without knowledge of language, I beat half of it. Unfortunately, it isn't that good :p
