It depends on the university's teaching methods. In UST, La Salle and Ateneo, they are really serious in their undergrads that leads directly to law. PolSci is worth it if you want to run for public office and use its theories on how to govern. Law is study and application of the current laws and mostly used in courts and legal matters.

To make it easier to take law and pass the Bar Exams, take undergrads that is relevant to law like accounting, criminology, Legal management and business courses.

To be honest, any 4 year courses can take Law, but the problem is the relevance of those undergrads.

are you a mind reader? that was my intention way back, but if i did that, that would mean a lot of things.
Burn document means lots of other paper works and court sessions. Also, I'm merciful for all the jobs that will be lost. Its hard times nowadays and we all need to think of others.

Philippine Law has no future but you can still make a killing if you're into the bribing and cheating side :p

there is still hope but the government needs a big "reboot"/ "reformat".

first, it has to start with discipline. stop bickering and try to have a dialogue instead of rallies. instead of bribes and red tapes, try honesty and hard work in any dealings. If you need a document from the government, and the employees tells to you come back in 3 days, they have to finish it in 3 days, and come back in 3 days. If nobody entertain those corrupt officials, then those corrupt officials will stop doing corrupt things.

very utopian view you have there

Yup, we need a utopian society, but in the philippines, it can't be done unless as I said, there is discipline. And to have discipline, Martial Law is needed, the problem is, the current leader, if he is corrupt, Martial law will lead to tyranny and leads to chaos and fear.

Also, good governance starts at school, thats why there are student councils and governments. If the school, teaches students good leadership and honest process of picking their representatives, then it will lead to future ideal leaders.

yet student councils are also corrupt :D the vicious cycle starts early

besides every country in the world needs the so called utopia since its the perfect world

sad thing here is people have different views on what utopia should be which making it impossible

    two translations of utopia is
    perfect world
    and
    no place

cant argue with that, been there and done that. students should pick wisely and not because of popularity. they should target and vote for the person who has the plans to fight the current problems.

You really can't get rid of Corruption as it's part of human society. Haven't you played any of the Civilization games before? Even if you do a hell of alot things to improve your in-game race/society's life with advancements & discoveries your virtual society will still experience corruption in varying degrees, going into a Socialist or Communist form of governance won't help at all.

Not really, they have ridiculous fines for litering or eating even a piece of candy inside a bus. I wonder if they get Smug Alerts from time to time, ROFL.

    Note the South Park reference.

of course i do play civilization, and its a damned bias game in terms of types of government. no corruption in a democracy type? its the worst type in real life. but because you want to have a quick advance in technology, you pick that one. Communism has a big advantage in real life, but for quick solutions, they should change to a democratic socialist after the problems are fixed.

also, Switzerland is the best country to my opinion, it has a direct democracy and its neutral, damn, i would love to be swiss.

every school sucks, you just have to find a way to make the best of it. there is one thing for sure, you'll often find many "run around" in colleges, which is how my college is run. there is no list of needed classes for what you're majoring in and the academic bulletin is not that great, so you'll end up taking your time to talk to the grade advisors. but even the grade advisors at times don't even know and you'll have to report to another department.

the 1 hour transport from school to home is what i make most of my school. i use the time to read books for class, such as adam smith or john locke, or books of personal interest. i've been reading this book about "disruption" on how companies like nintendo and apple have created a new direction, which if many don't follow will be hit hard.
