In most cases the employees do add on a lot of other useless fees. Like testing, diagnostics, and compatability issues. Let's just remain optimistic that the hardware techs don't screw up.

they don't necessarily lie. I've had a DVD drive that stopped reading CDs but would still read DVDs because one of the lasers failed. If the PS2 needs replacement parts then $45 is a very good deal.
Here they say R$ 90,00 for the cleaning up, if need a hardware, like a disk reader replacement will be 90 + the disk reader price.
