    All that money for just a "cleaning" hahaha
    They will say that there was other issues than the dirt, but believe me, they lie.

    In most cases the employees do add on a lot of other useless fees. Like testing, diagnostics, and compatability issues.

    Let's just remain optimistic that the hardware techs don't screw up.

    I'm thinking that since it's not reading anything it's supposed to it's going to need a little more than just a cleaning.

    they don't necessarily lie. I've had a DVD drive that stopped reading CDs but would still read DVDs because one of the lasers failed. If the PS2 needs replacement parts then $45 is a very good deal.

    Here they say R$ 90,00 for the cleaning up, if need a hardware, like a disk reader replacement will be 90 + the disk reader price.
