You must not know Tyson as well as the rest of us.

And a 4.0 doesn't require all As here in the US. Many schools offer Advanced Placement courses which are graded on a 5.0 scale. So an A in an AP course gives you a 5.0, B is a 4.0. This lets you achieve over a 4.0, and lets you achieve a 4.0 while still getting under an A in some courses. I graduated high school with a 3.77, and there were 12 students in my graduating class with over a 4.0, and I think the highest was a 4.3.

High school GPA is largely meaningless though, in the end the High School Diploma is all that matters to non-college graduates. An employer that only requires a HS Diploma or Equivalent won't care if you got a 2.5 or a 3.8. ACT and SAT scores are really what open the doors for Scholarship and College/University Enrollment for those seeking further education.

My grammer is usually poor on here because I'm too damn lazy to type in an appropiate manner on my PSP, which I normally use to access this site. (I'm on my computer now). And I'm actually pretty damn good in English. I passed all my english classes with an high B, and an A throughout high school. So don't give me that. Hard to judge people when you don't really know them. From all the post I've seen from you Hyper, I can indeed say your an complete asswhole who needs to take your crap somewhere else. But I don't know you, your probally a good guy outside of this forum.

And Tirith I'm afraid you, and the others don't know me well either. The stuff about Succubi and all that other shit, I've looked passed. Don't get me wrong, I still believe wholeheartedly that sprits and shit exist. But that's a topic very irrelavent to this one.

Ah really? You must be from some faraway country I've never heard of. Most likely a 3rd world country.

I'm from England, where the English language was invented, and your displayed English skills would be a C here too, even in this age of lowered standards.

    your = belonging to you

you sure about that? because your wrong. it originated from the germans in the 5th century, and they brought it to britain when they took over some of its territory. i suggest you know your stuff before trying to argue.

It's you that is wrong. They did not speak English. Some words from their language contributed to what became English, but they did not bring the English language. English itself is derived from a mixture of languages of Saxon, Celtic, Norman and Germanic origin. It came into being in England and was formed over many hundreds of years into a distinct language.

I know the difference, I just the hate the grammar nazis out there thinking they are better than everyone else.
Also most people read your and you're so it makes sense to them.

don't pay em any mind. write how you wanna write, none of em know you so who cares what they think. i learned alot of members here think they have some jurisdiction on everything someone does or the things they believe. this is the only forum i've been on where members think they out class or are somewhat superior to others. which is why i try not to pay much attention to asswholes. there are good members here though, just not much.

I don't think I'm any better than you. Everyone will eventually die, so there is no difference in that.

And as for grammar mistakes, I used to type lower-case and no punctuation and long ellipses. I've changed that now and find it annoying when people go................... I usually just ignore their posts unless it's interesting.

Everyone is different. There are always "Grammar Nazis" on forums no matter where you go.

You sure about that? I've seen people get used to SMS text, and they get so used to it that they implement it in their school work. Word contractions are a really popular example. When people speak, or text casually to their peers, they usually go "I heard you're bringing Sally to the party next week." , "I'm bringing Sally to the party next week.", etc. It's used so often that people often make the mistake of using word contractions in their compositions. Same goes with the simple use of "Your" and "You're". It's used wrongly more often than you'd think.

I guess this is your first, and only forum you've visited.

Another thing about contractions and spelling mistakes; it's frowned upon in a lot of college writing-intensive courses.

As you can see, writing incorrectly makes a SIGNIFICANT difference to how the sentence can be interpreted. If people choose not to use the language properly then they have absolutely no reason to complain when people fail to understand what they are trying to say.

You clearly haven't been on many forums then.
