Most over rated movie?

all of the movie threads (best movie, worst movie, overrated movie..etc) have all gone off topic into just a big general movie discussion.

 

So the thread should be merge into one.

 

No, overrated means it gets more credit than it deserves, saying a movie is good doesnt automaticly mean it's overrated.

 

I gotta say the entirety of all of the 80's movies that made in big in pop culture NOW for some reason. The Dark Crystal, Legend, The Neverending Story, all that garbage.

And Godfather also bored the hell out of me as well as it's subsequent sequels. Yeah, sure, great editing, acting, or what have you, but that doesn't change the fact the movie does very little to keep you interested. I think the film suffers from the "bandwagon" disease where people are afraid of looking stupid if they didn't like the movie.

As mentioned before, if one book of Harry Potter being made a movie it could take 4-5 hours length of movie. So the producer,director and the writer have to cut the non important one.

 

i thought the new harry potter was the best since the first one...but then again I haven't read the books past 3
