Most over-rated games

GTA IV gets really boring to me, i did like San Andreas though.

ive bought and sold IV twice haha, trying to give it a second chance

 

i think GTA4 is perfect

Halo 3= Agreed
SSBB= STRONGLY DISAGREE, SSBB's been my fave game since it came out
All depends on how much you like multiplayer (admittedly the online multiplayer failed...)
GTA IV= yeah, it was good, but people went overboard
Max Payne= haven't played it
BioShock= It was good, but yeah again people overhyped it.

 

Tom Clancy's End War was a little over-hyped.

 

LoL I think Its not overrated. Its better than the score they give.

 

It's not over-rated. Its was just a little too hyped. However it was still a good game.

 

I would say the gta series. If its such a great game, why dont people keep it? I see ALOT of those games in the used game racks at gamestop and gamecrazy once the newer version of it comes out. I agree its a great sand box game, but they arnt classics that stay alive. People just think its great cause you can do all this gangster stuff. That is its hype. But when its done and through, they still trade it in for the next game. I have gta2 and vice city and gta 4. Its all the same to me. More features, but its still the same stuff, it gets boring.

 

i think the saints row games are better...and you see a lot less of them on the used game racks so..other people must think so too

 

oh yeah, Blue Dragon DS got a lot of hype, and when it came out, it was a complete bust.

 

Halo isn't overrated- it's a great game, and GTA Chinatown Wars certainly won my praise and fulfilled my expectations, and even going over that!

 

Is it possible you just like the over hyped games? I guess in the end its all a matter of opinion.

Halo is extraordinarily overrated, I think. People speak of it as having revolutionised the genre and whatnot...I've seen some say that it invented the whole "regenerating health" concept, even. Good games, sure, but I don't see what's so special about them.

Anyway, Dementium and Moon were horribly overhyped. I remember seeing GameFAQs decked out in total Dementium advertising shortly before its release, and everyone was too excited that there was going to be a "mature" DS shooter. While the game engines were good, the actual games were simply no fun for me =/

 

i had fun with Dementium for the first...15 minutes or so. I actually had a bit more fun with Dead'n'Furious, mostly because its fun to pick up and play now and again for short bursts

 

Is Dead'n'Furious also known as Touch the Dead, the on-rails zombie shooter? From what I recall, I had more fun with that than Dementium, too.

 

yeah they are the same game i believe...I still have fun with that game, I randomly pick it up and have a go at it for an hour or so, it keeps me amused

 

I think Halo, GTA, Pokemon, and Final Fantasy IV are overrated.

 

Halo 1 was good..halo 2 was okay but thrived with xbox live and halo 3 is crap...the first and 2nd generation pokemon games were great.
