Why are you thanking me? I repeated exactly what uber said, although less eloquently.

He has such a way with words, it feels as if his chiseled mann body is swooping me off my feet and flying away.

@Nat: It's because I'm not awesome like you guys are when it comes to dealing with people on the net. I know I should develop a hard as steel shell & develop a fiery wit but those are two things I really don't have a lot of, even in real life.

I can agree. It's much easier to be crude on the net and reject people.
But even if you reject someone on the net, they may pester you in real life, thinking those two "worlds" are completely different.

i really wonder when do people start thinking its a good idea to post all your personal information to the public.

i have a facebook account, but i dont use it much, only as a mean to communicate with my friend from other states...

even my boss found my facebook page, i dont add him even he ask me (i already seeing him everyday, i dont want to see him online as well).

last time i log in (it was months ago) i have over 20 pending friend requests... i dont even know any of them nor understand why they think i'll add them as friend.

    ...

Here is what I do, if they ask for an invite, if it's someone I DO know but don't want, I just flat out ignore.

If they pm me, I'll tell them why not, then block.

Anyone disagrees then all links to that contact are severed, I can block from 2-15 people when required.

I only keep the following on mine (with a warning), friends, some mates that don't bother me as they don't get half of what i say and i end up blocking them as their status's are the most boring dribble ever, family (I do warn them what I post is freedom of speech-though I blocked my mother since she disagreed with my freedom) and a few of the romU people here.

Note that only SOME romU people I shall add, I blocked one because he became...attention seeking elsewhere and now has a dislike of me (taking him off my friends lsit might of caused it :p )

People, block, delete and don't answer them is the best advice, if your gonna meet them physically then consider other options (like being nice...about why you won't add them :p )

I get random friend invites a lot, i assume its from people at romu because its a lot of asians. And i ignore ALL of them because they dont tell me who they are.

You think i just add people out of the blue like that? I'm not some idiot that bases the value of a FB profile by the number of 'friends' i have.

same i just check it like 2 times a week, just in case, since i keep contact with family and long distant friends like that. I dont like it when people just try to add random people like Littlekill mentioned. I always decline these friend invites.

Facebook is a product of culture and culture is a product of human interest. You are the anomaly; the black sheep. But, really, who the fuck cares? Facebook is convenient and people are free to do with their time what they please, regardless of your exterior opinions about it. Stop being judgmental (and probably alone).

Indeed, including stalking you & ruining your reputation amongst your true peers by making falsified profiles & throwing smack at you :p

It's pretty obvious you just posted on this topic simply because of the thread's title. The whole point of my rant goes, beyond this one thread. It all started when one incredible douchebag who I once considered a friend started stalking me on the internet & bad mouthing my name.

And the thing is, he used Facebook to yet again fuck with me by creating an account & getting information about me. The moment he found out that I was well aware of his shenanigans he blasts off at all my friends on my list by sending me & them hate spam messages. Thankfully all my true friends know better & did what I did, block said falsified identity & reported the account to have it deleted. Mr. Assface hasn't made a peep since then :p

Gives me an excellent excuse to forgive you for not knowing about me that much... I AM indeed a loner as I personally chose to be so, something I've said a lot of times on here & most of the people who do know me on here knows that, LOL!

To many teenagers, Facebook is merely the gate to a huge labyrinth we know as the internet. It's barely the entrance. Facebook is just a place to meet up and talk to friends, and/or play games. Depending on the people you converse with, you may or may not delve deeper into the world of the internet, or just stay within the borders.

Cahos, my post (along with the alone statement) were indirectly spewed into the fabric of the thread. It wasn't intended to be directed at you in anyway. But if being alone makes you happy, good for you!

Life's full of weirdos who think Facebook should be the be all and end all. I've just got this guy asked me if I was married - as in literally got married - after I facebook-married my best friend as a joke. He even quizzed me as to why he wasn't invited and informed of our wedding.

    I never LOL'd as hard.

There are even friends I have who claim they're 'well-versed' in the internet, even though the only thing they know is Facebook and Friendster. As long as they can post messages on their FB, they're 'really good at using the computer'! Which is a joke. Because they don't know what WINRAR is or how to extract one - and if that's not well versed with a computer I really don't know what is.
