Just to clarify, I'm not saying you piss me off because I support MS with Windows 8 (it looks the same as W7 honestly) but because your comments regarding as everything you hate as 'douchebags' it's seriously fucking annoying.
Let me throw down some truths that you lovers of the Elder Scrolls don't want to hear. - Skyrim is going to be worse than Oblivion in the same way that Oblivion is worse than Morrowind - It's going to be filled with bugs because Bethesda is incapable of doing comprehensive bug testing - The code will be horribly unoptimised (as most games in Gamebryo are) and will run shittily on all but the most modern home computers - The game's graphics, although not a selling point, are only going to be improved by slightly better textures, some bloom and some AA I know you will deny this, but look into your heart and know it to be true.
I got 40 bucks for babysitting my baby cousin. The problem? The kid was sick. There was literally, a RIVER of snot flowing. And because she's only 8 months old, she refuses to let me wipe her face and cries INCESSANTLY. Oh, and the kid's parents didn't leave any formula so I had to console the starving and crying kid by constantly picking her up - to which she will cry because her chest hurts from all her coughing - and putting her down on the bed, to which she will cry some more because she wants to be picked up. And here's the kicker. I had to look after her for more than half a day. Now, I don't know about you guys but service like that should be AT LEAST worth 60 bucks. I honestly cannot understand how parents can withstand that.
I'm very much pissed off at douchey chain smokers who do not give a fuck that there is a gigantic sign posted in front of them telling that the area we were at is stricly a no smoking zone. I just wish cigarettes & cigars get outlawed as soon as possible as smoking is definitely the worst vice there is & one that doesn't even have any positive benefits to one's health unlike drinking in moderation or weed having medicinal uses.
I wish the state would piss off and leave people alone to make their own decisions instead of this constant introduction of pointless, fascist laws. What damn right does the state have to tell me what I can or can't do in my own damned home? I completely disagree that there should be a law banning cigarettes and cigars, it should be up to the owners of businesses, etc to decide whether or not to allow smoking on their premises. I am a non-smoker by the way. Also I'd take issue with smoking tobacco being "the worst vice" as I'm pretty sure alcoholism, heroin addiction, etc are worse vices due to the harm they can cause to people around them. That and the fact that nicotine can be used as an appetite suppressant, has a calming affect and might even reduce the onset of Parkinson's disease, Tourette's disease, Alzheimers disease, ulcerative colitis and sleep apnea. link
But too much, ergo an addiction renders one unable to feel "satisfaction" (fulfillment of something) because their whacked out brains depend too much on nicotine to feel that. That's why when chain smokers have a meal, need to take a dump or right after they had sex need to smoke because they can't feel satisfaction I see this everyday with my mom who is a chain smoker thanks to my bastard father who taught her this stupid vice right in the middle of her pregnancy. When I was born, they found out I had a birth defect & he could not live up to the disappointment of raising an "incomplete" child, to which he in fact is to blame so he eventually left me & my mom for some other bitch And yes, my hatred of smoking runs deeper than what you see as a silly law And I guess you mis-understood the law, smoking is prohibited in public places such as a government office, restaurants & even on the street. It was passed, not to curb obvious addict chain smokers' habits, it was passed to support chain smokers' unwitting victims, the non-smokers who passively have to inhale the same garbage these jerks fill their lungs with. EDIT: So OK, you want to smoke inside your damn house, but what if you're living with someone with asthma or poor health conditions needing "fresh air". Do you think you have the right to do whatever damn you want regardless?
Dont forget the dangers of passive smoking, anybody drinking or taking heroin isn't hurting those that happen to be stood nearby. I think its a good idea to ban smoking in public places.
QFT. Indeed a druggie & a drunkard "might" only start hurting people if they have no control of their vice or the "Spirit of their vice". These people are the ones you would often hear &/or read about in the news who do heinous act & hurt others around them. I know of a few drunks & a few druggies who you wouldn't even realize are having a buzz or are totally tripping balls when you're around them & they can even drive their cars straight until you get real close to them & get a whiff of their breath.
Smoking has a positive side. If you already have lung cancer, and you start smoking, all that tar is bound to kill it, right? RIGHT? I smoke. But if it was outlawed I wouldn't. I only smoke when I don't have chew.
What people do behind closed doors is thier business as long as it doesnt do anything that causes harm to another person and leads to a hospitalization, cause then its public business. i'm sick of hearing addicts say "i'm not addicted" or "its not addictive" bullshit if you have an addictive personality it'll be addictive. this one pothead i knew all ways flipped his shit at people and bitched and moaned cause he hadnt smoked any weed in litterealy 4 hours. and then all i heard out of his mouth everyday was some story all about weed or what he did while he was high and nothing else EVER! i was ready to break something over his head by the end of the semester so he'd shut up. I donty wanna have to deal with someone's additude cause they wanted to be cool and did some drug at the age of 12 and got hooked. they wanna mess up thier lives and bodies let them but keep that shit inside the house away from other people.
There's a reason I don't flat with one of my bros from classes. He's a great guy, but he smokes pot on occasion (but not frequently). Now, I don't have anything against recreational pot smokers, but fuck if I'm going to let that shit in my house. Especially considering that if he gets caught then everyone on the premises can be charged.
hes a rec smoker at least. the guy i was talkng about was a religious one. hell if he applied the effort to school he applied to weed he could've graduated with honors instead of barely graduating
Am I missing something here. I've lived with chain smokers and have never noticed an above normal frequency in their post-meal bowel movements. I also don't believe they've ever told me that sex was unsatisfying unless they had a smoke. I've been told that the first cigarette in the morning, after a meal and after sex are particularly good, but that's different. It certainly doesn't make them incapable of deriving joy out of things in life besides smoking. Interesting that you lay the blame at the feet of your father... Though his actions do sound like those of an irresponsible person. Laws should protect the rights of the individual, not take them away. Hating something does not mean that it is just to make it illegal or even regulate it. I could give an extreme example, but will leave it for now. I probably live in a different country to you. However, even taking what you say to be the same internationally. It's still wrong for the state to dictate to a private business whether or not they allow smoking inside their place of business. It should be decided by the consumer. If you deem it too dangerous to go to a smoking restaurant because it allows smoking, you can go to a non-smoking restaurant instead. If this is preferable to most people, smoking restaurants would die out naturally. There's no need for the state to become involved. If I'm passing a smoker in the street I'm capable of avoiding him/her and not breathing in their smoke as I'm outside and there's space. Or I can hold my breath for the two seconds it takes to pass her/him. That should be between the two people living in the house. If the smoker feels they can't live in a house that they can't smoke in they can either find a new house or a new roommate. Ditto for the asthma sufferer. I do think you should have the right to do whatever you want on your own property. People should be charged with using their own sense and not limited to what their government says is ok. I'd also like to point out that you can see 'passive smoke' and avoid it. It's far harder to avoid watching someone you love fall into a self-destructive alcohol/heroin abuse. Or to tell if that pale-looking man is going to stab you to get more heroin or if that drunk is going to attack you for reasons unclear. And I suppose the cigarette smoker can't drive their car straight, etc. ? The problem with drunk driving is that your reflexes are severely reduced.
By chain smokers, I mean those who can finish three or four packs of cigarettes per day, as in they light a smoke immediately after they finish one up. It has nothing to do with bowel movement frequency, it's to do with the satisfaction of the act of defecation per se. I've often argued with my mom on this as I can't stand the bathroom smelling of cigarette after she does her thing as it irritates my lungs so much. But she contests that unless she has a light on while taking a dump she can't concentrate on what she needs doing. Same goes for smoking after meals, they can't feel satisfaction, or that feeling of fullness unless they follow up the meal with a smoke. What happens is their brains become too dependent on Nicotine as nicotine acts similarly to dopamine which is an enzyme that gives one that feeling of "satisfaction/pleasure" or elation. http://www.helpwithsmoking.com/effects-of-nicotine.php Ever experienced having to use the toilet after a chain smoker has used it before you? Ever tried holding your breath as you take a piss or dump? Can you actually concentrate on the two things at once?
You're taking one side of the insane spectrum and making broad generalizations, similar to the topic you were ranting about how Christians are insane because of one guy. The specific term of chain smoking is lighting more than one cigarette one after another. So this is basically two or more cigarettes after another. I won't really want to go into a debate about terminology but someone who smokes three or four packs a day is a lot more than just a chain smoker to me imo. That's like, chain smoker to the max. Your point of cigarettes replacing sexual satisfaction or any type of satisfaction when the article you point out doesn't say that, all it says is that the pleasurable feelings of smoking decrease the longer you smoke so you need to smoke more to feel satisfied. This does not articulate into, you need a cigarette to feel satisfied. All those pleasurable effects that the article is referring to is the pleasurable effects of smoking. As for my opinion of cigarettes, I don't care really. If I do breath in cigarette smoke, it's most likely going to be for a second or so before it goes away, it doesn't bother me. It bothers me when people freak out about it though. I've heard a lot of terrible opinions about smokers and man, a lot of those people are a lot worse than these 'inconsiderate smokers' when they're getting less and less privileges every day. I'm pretty sure in some places, social services are able to take the child due to cigarette smoke in the house. The worst thing I find about smokers is if they do it in a car or indoors, it's not so much that I mind the smell. It's just that, that smells STAYS. So if you wanted to sell a car or house and a smoker lived in it, most likely it'll smell like that for a long time.
