Mostly, what is the problem of your printer? Most of the solutions you need are in the internet, probably in youtube. The most problematic thing that could happen to your printer, is that the waste pad is full. Thats why I like epson printers, they might be slow, but at least you can put a waste ink tank.

Canon and HP are bitches. They might print fast, but well, you need to open the entire printer just to clean the waste pad which sucks to do.

 

I've got an HP printer, and I've never had to clean out a "Waste Pad" yet, had it for five years. The only thing that sucks is that it's a printer, which means it's one of the few consumer devices ALLOWED to malfunction whenever the hell it wants to, and someday it will - In fact, dad got a new printer a while back, and for who the fuck knows why, its driver CD BSOD'd his Windows 7 Lappy. We took it back.

I hate printers.

You got it for 5 years, are you using it frequently or seldom? I forgot that the bitchiest part of a printer, its not the waste pad, its the damn printer head. It gets clogged, and once it clogged, you need to unclogged it. But if it won't unclogged, then say goodbye to your printer. Cause its much cheaper to buy a new one than getting a new head for a printer.

Like for example a new one cost like 125 USD. the printer head goes to about 100-200.
For those that don't know a printer head, its the place where you put the ink cartridges and the printer head sucks the ink from the cartridge so that it will print. A clogged printer head means, it can't suck the ink cause something is jamming the printer, mostly because of hardened ink.

I fixed it yesterday, after a whole week of headdesking. I saw someone saying online that the reinstalling the drivers worked. Pulled out the installation CD, reinstalled. Doesn't work. Uninstall. Doesn't work. In the end I had to download some random driver for a completely different model and installed THAT, before it would work.

I use mine all the time since I'm in cyberschool (always printing and scanning worksheets) and no problems so far. The only reason we got rid of our really old one is because it wouldn't work with vista/7. Damn Microsoft and their incompatibility.

But ya, if it goes, it goes. Hell if I'm gonna fix it.
