I'm angry because your glasses are distracting.

 

I'm angry because you're a self-righteous poser who discriminates against what's mainstream or popular in order to further your own sense of superiority and uniqueness.

And this thread is terrible and should not be stickied.

 

I'm angry because you don't see how unoriginal you look with those glasses. Also you are using pointless big words to "further your own sense of superiority"

no, for that to be the case 'anti' and 'dis-' would have to be synonymous, which they're not.

 

I'm angry because your vocabulary is evidently limited enough to classify words like "self-righteous" or "superiority" as big. Also you are insulting the glasses (that I had first, if you'd care to read a few pages back) to, again, further your own sense of superiority and uniqueness.

My aunt came up to visit during the long weekend. Since it was a nice sunny day she wanted to go out to the beach and let the kids play outside for a fucking change,

This is fine with me, I thought I'd use the time to get some pipi, so i loaded up the chilly bin and a couple of buckets into the back of the truck and went to the beach access, my Aunt close behind.

Now, I gave her some instructions on how to get her truck through the soft sand without getting stuck, her truck is freakin massive anyway if she could just keep her revs up she'll be fine.

So I drop onto the access first in order to give her a good line to get through. Not only does she not follow my line (a specific instruction I give her.) but she goes in on 2WD and slow as shit. Sure enough, she digs herself a hole about 5 or so meters off solid ground. Nice.

Now, my truck is far too fucking small to tow hers out, so I decide I should get out and drive her truck out of it myself. While I'm walking back to the truck, she has her kids get out to try and PUSH her truck out. PUSH. This isn't going to work, get out of the fucking truck and let me drive.

10 seconds, 4WD w/ Powerdrive and a good boot later and the truck is out. When I asked her why she didn't follow me she just snorted and said that she didn't take orders from kids.

If this was the internet I'd have some snark waiting for her, but I don't talk back to elders. I just decided I wouldn't stop on the way home.

TLR version: Women can't drive.

If I'm superior or respected, I make sure I earn it. I'm not so stupid as to think my username or avatar will do that for me.

If, in the earning process I happen to disgruntle someone, well, that's their problem.

 

I wasn't going to leave without my shellfish and I like her kids.
I also didn't expect her response.

Family can be the worst people to deal with, sometimes.

 

I, for one, respect tehuber implicitly despite his being Australian and my being a New Zealander. Not because of an avatar or a username, but because he's consistently proven himself to be an intellectual of no small regard.

You are easily riled up, aren't you. 3 reasons why your opinion doesn't matter:
1. To me, you are nothing more than a computer that I argue with.
2. You come from the internet and thus don't know what I am.
3. You are stubborn as all Hell. Even if you were wrong about something, you would argue about it anyway.

 

I don't want to get caught up in this, but that's a mighty big if. He's right almost as much as I am!

 

I don't know how much that is. Consider this the exact opposite of the benefit of the doubt.

 

I wonder who's really being riled up here.

1. Arguing with a computer is retarded
2. Just because I don't know you personally doesn't mean I'm not capable of understanding what kind of person you are (consider this the exact opposite of pen pals)
3. I argue about things because I'm not wrong

Luckily it doesn't matter if my opinion is worthless because I speak fact.
