i wouldnt either, but in case you change your mind, you have one year to upgrade for free(7/28/16). Really weird business practice for windows, and questionable.
I installed it on one of my partitions over W8 and kept W7 Ultimate in case I hated it. I love W10! I can't find anything wrong with it, and it's really easy to use.
Reports on another forum I'm active on suggests that the automatic rollout has been an utter catastrophe with people being left with inoperable computers when the install fails. It also apparently doesn't like nvidia graphics cards and that has led to failed installs.
I have nvidia and it's fine. It's the best Windows yet as far as I'm concerned, I can't see me ever booting up 7 unless I have a problem.
Nope, still not gonna upgrade. I even "hid" the Windows Update for upgrading to Windows 10 because it kept popping up error messages in Windows Event Log about the update failing. Yeah right, it'll fail because I will not upgrade dumbass RFE: Addendum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpPvGlrqhdA
Im personally just gonna upddate tough, just cause the longrun and i perfer learning more of the windows 10 system.
PC Gamer has just posted two articles that are kinda pushing me towards the "Not upgrading to Windows 10" camp even more: http://www.pcgamer.com/report-games-with-securom-and-safedisc-drm-wont-run-under-windows-10/ http://www.pcgamer.com/windows-10-can-disable-pirated-games/ The first article kinda gives me the feeling that using illegal methods, ergo cracks, to run disc based games that use disc based DRM will lead into encountering "future" problems with what the second article is talking about SHOULD Microsoft expands their monitoring "feature" to include non Microsoft games. Incidentally though, does this "disabling of Pirated games" feature extend to disabling pirated versions of Microsoft products like "MS Office" I wonder?
So they won't disable it but by snitching you to Microsoft they can effectively disable your OS if they so choose, still a bad deal.. Good thing I won't upgrade plus there is Open Office as legitimately free alternative to MS Office... unless Microsoft decides to block that package as well.
Upgraded to windows 10 a couple of days ago and I really like it so far. It has some nice QoL updates and everything is really smooth.
Microsoft have a nice security!!! Your parents was monitor yourself @ any children from doing anything on PC!!! Be warned! : Here the info! http://www.businessinsider.my/there-are-privacy-concerns-over-windows-10s-family-activity-report-2015-8/#OQeV1stTQz3xmRAJ.97
none of the previous versions of windows have been anywhere near as bad as 10 is. Plus all the privacy violations in windows 10 are deliberate. you might be thinking of security, which has been poor in most versions of windows (up to 7, in 7 they made a significant effort to improve things)
no i meant "privacy". You did READ their privacy in the terms and service didnt you, or the literally 1000s of updates fixes with the tag "privacy" in description? Now on the security, i wouldnt trust microsoft with a penny to keeping it secure, that story has been broken since the beginning of computers.
