I've been wanting to take up juudou since I was four, but my dad being the kind of guy who thinks Stephen King's novel makes people sick in the head... What, like I'd go around actively beating people up?
I did Tae Kwon Do and got up to the point where I was only a couple months away from taking my black belt test until I had an altercation with the father of one of the younger students who didn't like the fact that I made his kid work as hard as everyone else. I ended up getting kicked out over it but I didn't regret hitting that fat fuck in the face. This was back when I was 16 though and I haven't really kept up any sort of exercise since then so I doubt I'm nearly as good at it as I used to be.
I would have said I'd done it in self defence : Infact I did so once...back at my old school when we had our Tae Kwon Do classes (bit of a demo really-no belts unless we took it up properly and PAID outside of school for that) I had an altercation with some disrespectful punk in our group, 5 mins before out teacher walked in and then gave a lecture about how I was the most respectful of the class... Well I am a teacher's pet-but outside of the teacher's eye I hate fat people being disrespectful to me and other people just because we 'lack a punch".

I have done Iaido (traditional samurai sword arts) for 10 years, and at the moment I'm doing Pencak Silat, an Indonesian martial art centered around killing techniques with bare hands, staves and goloks (knives)
mixed martial arts been doing this for two years got into it after i got tired of boxing and watching a lil bit of ufc kinda inspired me
I think martial arts is not about a rank, it's not about how strong your power is, nor how skillfull you are. It's about how to beat yourself, every bad habbits you have. When you can beat yourself, you will be able to beat others. I am Practitioner of Shingen Bushinken.
