is there a better fix for edge? damn game keeps on freezing

Hi there! I'm using R4i Ultra for DSi (www.r4ultra.com) and I tried following your steps above. It didn't seem to work. The screen shows "LOADING" and it seems to hang. Nothing got loaded.

Is there other way to get this game working on R4i Ultra? Thanks

I don't think this works for the edge... it doesn't work for mine anyway. after patching, i can get to the page after the new game page, but then i can't click anything is that just me?

 

the same thing happens to me with the edge card dude! i was wondering if i was also the only one. i still have no idea how to fix this and i wish i could

actually you can play this game there's a tutorial how to do it on the 1st page of this topic thou it freezes alot during gameplay

Just to let you all know this works for R4 revolution SDHC and is very easy to do! just follow instructions

ATTENTION FOR R4SDHC USER!!!

1. Download the Latest 1.26 kernell.
2. Download this YS Menu : http://www.mediafire.com/?tvgdugymduv]http://www.mediafire.com/?tvgdugymduv[/url]
3. Download Mario Luigi BIS clean roms.
4. Format your MicroSD.
5. Ekstract 1.26 kernell to microSD
6. Ekstract the YS menu and copy the TTMenu folder and YSMenu.nds to root of MicroSD
7. Boot your NDS, launch the YSMenu.nds and Load the Mario Luigi Roms.
8. Enjoy!!!

 

thanks for the quick reply man, but i don't ask questions before reading the whole thread hehe and the first page's tutorial is the one that causes the game not to respond on the 'choose a save file' page. =\ i'm using firmware 1.5 too, but no idea why the fix doesn't work. it just hangs at the screen after start a new game sigh

 

Well, I beat it!! Not ONCE did it freeze with the R4 + YSMenu fix ^_^

 

I did read the first post but that talks about those users with the ysmenu and that dsst thing. I dont really understand if that applies to me or are those a different kind of R4 with that type of software...

 

Maybe you guys should try this way to fix it. It's really simple.

First Step.

Download DSlazy

Download arm7.bin

1.)
Create a folder called 'dslazy' extract the files from dslazy.zip to 'dslazy' folder.

2.)
Open dslazy.exe and click on ... (a button in the top left corner) and navigate to (YOURGAME).nds

3.)
Click the nds unpack button, this will create a folder called NDS_UNPACK.

4.)
extract arm7.zip then drag and drop arm7.bin into your NDS_UNPACK folder and click overwrite/replace

5.)
now click on the NDS packer on dslazy, add the filename and click save.

6.)
Now your done, copy the .nds to your r4 try it out.

This has worked for me on a few game so hope it will work for this one. =D

 

it won't the arm7 patch will only work with the 'Cannot acces Save Data' problem..

I am using the same card and have tried every single way listed to try and get this to work and I can't get it to work.

Using Ackard it starts to load and then hangs - loading is blue then it loading turns green and hangs.
YSMenu always has "dldi" errors.
Tried everything on this thread and it will not work.

I am using R4i Ultra with firmward 1.54 as suggested in this thread somewhere but still no luck.

 

still don't work... I get stuck by the Start Game page, I can't move the buttons =D
