p.s. at step 3 where you have to download the R4 DLDI, you have to put it in the same map as the DLDI patching tool at first, after that you have to put it in the folder where you extracted the ysmenu files otherwise it will not make the r4patch.dat

Go to the first link in my post, it leads you to a guide to let Ysmenu work on your R4. At step 5 of those steps, you need to go to the second link i posted and download that program there. Complete step 5 with the file you got there.

If you follow the steps in my first link 1 by 1 you should be fine and don't forget to delete your old firmware once you have the Ysmenu installed.

Dear Chronootje... I would like to THANK YOU so much for bringing this to us! I can finally play M&L:BIS on my R4DS! I did just like the instructions said and viola! It doesn't freeze at the save screen, I can confirm this. Thank you again! Let my "Fawful's ass kicking" be a tribute to you!

Thank you! This worked for me on my stupid clone R4 III Upgrade Revolution (stupid name I know) when I loaded Ysmenu as a .NDS file. THANK YOU!

I can confirm this works on my DSTT. I have made it to the part where you get hammers (about 45 minutes in-game!)
I haven't encountered any problems yet. I have reset, and tried selecting Save and Quit and my file was still there and I was able to continue. Leveled up, got a 1, but it still worked wonders! The game's been running great so far!!

Will post if I encounter anything odd.

Weird, picking Save and Quit gives me white screen on my DSTT. Is it supposed to be like that?

I haven't THOROUGHLY tested Bowser's Inside Story yet, but I can confirm it boots and gets past the initial "New Game" screen when using the following: An R4 card with Moonshell 2 + YsMenu based on new unofficial DSTT firmware.

Moonshell 2 is just a nice plus since I like its interface. It should work fine as R4 + YsMenu alone.

@ Jhon591: Do I need the Xilisoft DPG Convertor to be able to play M&L: BIS? Or will just the r41.18+Moonshl2.05+Ysmenu do for my R4ds? Hope you can answer my question, thanks in advance.

So I tried this, with both the cracked version and the uncracked, and it freezes at the save select screen, doesn't allow me to select anything (not the black screen, just not responding).

Mictest does work however maybe I did something wrong ? I just copied and pasted whatever you put in that download.
