Male nerds vs Female nerds

Can I truly believe this?

Prehaps...girls (in most cases) are smarter than most men anyway-they seem to retain more knoledge and thus seem nerdy...

The one's I work with...all I can say is my BROTHER is far more intelligent-and he's only 13 XD

 

I dun believe that, if there's a male nerds, then..
there should be a female nerds..

hmmmmmmm very deep. i think both sexes can become nerds (not a bad thing) but males are more commonly nerdy then females

 

Only because if you look at our history it seems strange for a thinking male XD

So uhh... aside from the self-sexist comments from some of the guys, is there a point to this topic?

Male nerds are more common than female nerds for mainly the same reasons that there are more male gamers than female gamers; it appeals (and caters) to men more than women. Only in recent years have girls really become a considerable part of the gaming demographic, and more girls are becoming interested in computers and other nerdy things. It's similar to what happened with men and nursing.

 

may be you are but im not. and since when was wanting and geting free games being nerdy?

in australia a survey showed that 48% of all gamers are women (or something around that number)

 

Must be casuals-It's rare to hear women talking about games except for those in game clans or those in eb games XD

Seriously-unlike the stereo typical nerd-the people with glasses I see are actually dumber than me...and that is an insult to the human race (because I'm preety dumb-no joke)...

They must have been playing with torches like I did..

But, I have friend wearing big-round glasses, look like a nerd but superb academic performance...

 

If you think that is rare. Try being the only female student in a Games Design course in Australia LOL!!

Coming from an all girls high school to suddenly going to a collage with a class filled with all males is...........unbalanced LOL!!!

Half the women that work at EB Games have no idea what they are doing. As a female hardcore gamer, I can totally tell if they are interested in games or not.


I think probably more than half of the population of female gamers tend to keep to themselves as games are viewed as more of a guy thing. It's sad really.....

 

I'm not a nerd stereotypically, and I probably don't act like one either. But I'm always using something electronical, whether it be Internet, DS, or iPod or anything.

There's nothing wrong with "nerds," they're just a group of people with a label because people have nothing better to do with their life. Just like Chav, Emo, Greb, Metal Head.

They're not anywhere in a social status. In my opinion they're quite interesting and know quite a lot, rather than talk about how slutty their neighbour looks or ask whether their ass looks big in something (For Females) or Menace on other people and create arguements because they have a pig headed attitude (For males)

Nerds are decent people who have a great personality and are rather kind and considerate. I feel great knowing that I'm friends with numerous "Nerds."

You can actually have a conversation which doesn't involve any sexual references. Besides, Female nerds are cute.

 

nerdy girls are cute i agree. and there is a growing population of female gamers. look at the game line up especially for wii and ds there are alot of games especially designed for the female in mind.
