    Hey there welcome to RomU!
Nice problem you got, er? Some of the tips are great. Chocolate of cause is a good painkiller, but ...
it might take some time. Do not get into a rush. If there were no pain after a break-up the relationship wouldn't have been of high quality. Cry a lot. [Tears are beautiful. Have not been crying over a guy since 7 years now ... my oh my ... I wish I could fall in love again - happy or unhappily.]
Don't wish for the pain to go away, it will not work and the time it takes is time you can use to reflect about everything.
But don't lower yourself down: Still go out with friends, get creative ... do stuff you like!

Don't run into something else if you want to use a new relationship as a medicine. That will not work out well,...
you will know when it'S time for a new thingy.

<- very good point. As long as you need to work / do something else that you have to concentrate on ... there is no space for heartaches.

Try reading some poetry and getting the person off your mind.

^Reading a poetry? It will just make you remember the person more.

Looks like a "common" problem for the couples ;D

Try to get yourself busy. That's all.
But, when you can't forget that person...

    .........-_-"
That's a direct way to forget someone.

But, that will also give lots of problem to people around you.

Best way is, hang out with your friends.

But cutting releases endorphins which give you a sort of high feeling. Hanging is no fun.
