3d rendering is the way to test a system like that. Compiling something like a linux distribution from raw source can also be a good test if you're able to find one with a parallelised build process.
Uhm can it run the original wolfenstein 1 i heard you need a beast of a pc for that. Assassins creed brotherhood requires high specs i believe
even I can do that with everything on high. try crysis warhead on max or starcarft 2 on max. or just wait a little while until crysis 2 comes out
if you can play crisis at max everything, you can play anthing else in the world for the next few years
Rip a movie using magic dvd ripper. Tell us how long it takes. I'd also recommend trying Boinc. Edit - Stress test with prime95?
DirectX 11 game (GRID 2, Try Metro 2033, H.A.W.X. 2, etc. )+ PhysX + Highest PhysX settings + (Setting PhysX setting to processor may slow down the game but it's like cheating...) 3D Vision + 3D Surround + Highest settings in game + V-sync (Refresh Rate > 60 Hz say 120 Hz) + Anti Aliasing x32Q + Resolution at least 1920 x 1080 1080p (Games NOT Having CUDA and SLI support might help) It will require 3D Vision Monitor + Kit Reply if it worked !! You can also PM me.
Metro 2033 definitely has higher requirements than Crysis. But mostly because it was coded so poorly.
Minecraft. Set far view distance and walk around for a few minutes, guaranteed to kill your CPU and use swap.
Earthseige 2, only because the scalers that the graphics card uses are rarely supported my modern stuff!
actually try hosting a minecraft server then load it up with 20 players. I swear to god that killed my PC Post Merge: [time]1291817802[/time] and I can tell you I have lightning fast internet.
