Yes, I think the first game to have anti-piracy was Final Fantasy CC: Rings of Fate. Phantom Hourglass came out two months before that game, probably when the Anti-Piracy methods in the SDK did not exist, or at least was developed with an older SDK that didn't have it.

^It was the first to be reported. Developers would be forced to update their Nitro version (as per the NDA) for obvious reasons (who wants to use an obsolete library?). I assume they did not have working functions in the time PH was developed/released.

More and more of the big (with exceptions) games that have come out lately have had protection on them, so I'm betting Spirit Tracks will as well.

Really cant wait for this game. I BOUGHT the last one...before I had an R4

  6. I hate to correct you but the first with anti Piracy was Chrono trigger
and I bought the previous Zelda game and Can't wait for this one.
If anything this game will probably be heavily coded (if nintendo really cares for its
zelda franchise it will be much worse than bowsers inside story)

The Final Fantasy game came out BEFORE chrono trigger, so how could chrono trigger be first ;)

    Chrono Trigger DS

    Rings of Fate

See? Rings of Fate had anti-piracy in it. In the form of a "Moogle of Death" screen, I believe it was coined. Rings of Fate came out before Chrono Trigger (In both Japan and the US).

I also think they are releasing the game very late in the year, No one will have the money to spend on it...

    With Christmas and all lol!

capcom didn't have anything to do with COP as far as i know. it was ubisoft.

The release dates are the 7th for the US, 10th for australia, 11th for europe and 23rd for japan.
isn't it normally japan first since they (nintendo) made it? i heard that soul calibur on PSP was released in the US first cause it had a bigger fan base than japan. think thats the same with this?

    Quite possible.
Or it could be they want to boost the sales of this game as its now the holiday season.
