Layton X Phoenix

even if it lloks so damn eppic they should just do there owns
I you think about it, in witch playstyle will this be layton or ace attorney style?

 

I think more Layton style though.

 

I'm guessing it'll be both, Layton figures out puzzles and riddles to use as evidence or clues to claim that the girl is a witch and Wright points out the contradictions a la Objection. I'd imagine the game has elements from both of the series. Honestly, I think of it as a Phoenix Wright game with puzzles/riddles being more interactive as you actually have to figure them out (like Layton) and use them as evidence or whatever, it makes a lot of sense in context.

In the first PW game (I just started playing it and it's fucking awesome) the first trial has you proving that the clock that was used to kill the victim is 9 hours ahead, now imagine proving that in a form of a Layton puzzle, there we go. I'm sure both gameplay elements can co-exist, it makes perfect sense why these two series have a crossover because the puzzle gameplay from PL and the trials in PW go together so well.

As great as the game is, it's quite flawed. The logic is okay for the most part, but at times it gets twisted and unimaginitive.

It's impossible for there not to be logic problems, as everyone has a different logical process.
That said, certain Professor Layton puzzles (especially in the US version, as we had "special" puzzles) made huge leaps in logic. Remember that ridiculous "QWERTY" puzzle that assumed a girl was sending a text message in short hand....which her computer rather than the obvious choice of a cellphone?

It'd help as to which game you're referring to, I think I remember Professor Layton doing thing, only because it never gave you enough detail about the riddle, often leaving you confused.

Also the twisted part and stuff could work well against Layton in court with PW being the defendant.

That aside, this game should be made into one epic movie too! It has MOVIE MATERIAL written all over it! Also, the setting of the game seems to be more on layton's turf...
Hmmm! Interesting to see how this game will unfold! IF IT EVER COMES OVER TO USA. After all, fan translations of such a game will be highly difficult imo. D:
