Laptop won't boot

    Euh..I'm better of buying a new one I think..

    Maybe the faulty RAM error occured because I emulated Ubuntu at 512 MB of RAM (of 2 GB)?

    I'm not gonna do that. I'll let my dad do that if he wants (and can).

    doesnt apply since yoshi has post beeps.

    It's a phoenix bios. Check the following page and find which code is most like the beeps you are hearing: http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/phoenixbeep.htm

    BIOS Checksum Error.....
    Though there are five beeps..not six.
    1 high (pause) 4 fast
    That means I need to replace the BIOS?
