is it safe to use this patch on the USA rom to change the Pokemon names to Lowercase?

 

No....that patch is for the Japanese game, not the American one.

 

You are correct, the AR code is for the black screen freeze that happens with no$gba, not for the Anti-Piracy (AP) problem.
Downloading the 1.9 version is not necessary because a fix was found for the 2.0 version. You need to download the "firmware.bin" file and place it in the root folder of your no$gba. That stops the AP.
Also, Rudolph's new patch DOES NOT fix the AP for no$gba. You still need the "firmware.bin" file for that, and patching it with Rudolph's patch does nothing for no$gba users, I've tested it thoroughly.

Actually the AP is a problem with no$gba. The "firmware.bin" file fixes it. This patch doesn't fix it, but it allows you access to content that was removed in the (U) version.

No. The old AP patch did work (and its built into Rykin122's) but the new one is for the (U) rom only. The reason for this patch was initially to get around the AP in the (U) rom. Now it's an alternative to the (U) rom. As I said, you'll have access to removed content with this rom.

 

I have an r4 1.18 and I used Mr. Rodolph's patch from this website http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=34997.0 and it works!! I had no freezes yet, and was even able to do the arceus event XD. But thanks anyways rykin122, your patch rocked and I have been using it for 1 week so far.

 

Well my R4 can now play the USA rom so goodbye to the OP's patch it was great but now it's time to move on. Thanks OP for everything and thanks to the people who made it.

change the save file's name to the (U) rom's name and there you go.

unless you don't have the ability to do that then idk :O

 

Q: I've downloaded the Patch-only (v.2.0 full) do i put all the file onto my r4 or just bits of it?
also why not just put the ap patch onto a (E) or (U) version of the game then u dont need to translate it

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I don't know where to ask.I am playing pokemon and do some soft reset then suddenly after I soft reset I get white screen.After that everytime I play any games it will freeze and the music will stop.So does this mean my ds is broken or my flashcart?

 

probably it could be a problem due to ur flashcard try backing everything up and format it
not to mention that it could be also due to the firmware u have

I know this doesnt pretain to pokemon , but can u use Wi-Fi in ROMS, i tried one time, it never worked. Im useing no$gba 2.6a, btw i beat the whole game with version 1.9, thank you RYKIN !!!!!
