It said that it will stop the freezing issues... his issue is a crash after saving, not a freeze issue.
I will however test both methods if I can get a save file that's having issues.

I can probably create a legit shiny charmander using pokesav, receive it in a mystery gift or using an egg, then pokesav it to ~lvl 50 (what my pokemon are now legit), then use two rare candies on it so it becomes a charizard, then pokesav a good moveset. Doing that would take an hour or so to get perfect (especially getting a legit PID for a shiny charmander with specific stats) but it's definitely doable. Most shinys show up as hacks if not done properly, however. Considering my best fire pokemon is currently arcanine, I might consider trying that out later.

He is right as far as I can tell. The 1.9 version and the 2.0 versions both failed to load after the 4th gym, however, with the "firmware.bin" in the root of the no$gba directory both loaded flawlessly. If you're getting a message that says "The rom-image has crashed" and you've earned the 4th gym badge; download this file: http://www.mediafire.com/?4goy0mtztzh and place it in the root folder of the emulator.

 

I have loaded this (HG) to my R4 and it works prefectly (only thing ive noticed thts still jap is the GTS)

i do have one slight problem, i cant seem to bring up the cheats for the game

i have put them in in the same way for all my other games, but they dont appear

any ideas?

 

This seems to be an issue with the game id having been changed. You'll need to manually edit the cheats file with the new id.

So, has anyone an idea exactly what is causing the patching problems with No$GBA 2.6a? I've tried creating a patched version of my (J) ROM, but to nothing comes up in my folder.


Excuse my ignorance on this subject. Also want to apologize if it has already been discussed.

 

When I used the 1.9 patch, it sent the file to my desktop... could also try checking the downloads folder etc.
