hey if someone tryied these all things just try the A button trick it (works in people who get stuck to the difficulty choose) if you are one you 're very lucky!

i have followed the steps and manually edited the hex strings. i can now go past the choosing your difficulty part but it hangs after the 4th cutscene when sora comes out of the bed. Am i the only 1 who have this problem?

Use the Pre-Patched ROM.

 

I can't get it to work on dstt. I read posts carefully, and it seems like the manual patch worked for most ttds users.

The game doesn't even start for me. It says:
[Rom loading failed]
disk errcode=-81

I have the game manually patched. (hex string thing)
I have the lastest ttds firmware 1.17 english version.

Could anyone help me? I've been saving kh for the summer, and am upset I can't get it to work!

Make sure to get rid of the firmware you were originally using.

 

Yeah, I did and I put all 7 files (or folders) that was in 1.18. Usually it's just TTmenu folder, TTMENU.dat and TTMENU.SYS, so I thought that was weird. It'll take 12 more minutes or so to finish downloading. It's particularly slow tonight!

I'm going through all comments again. Someone had the same problem, but no one responded.

 

Just use the TTMENU, TTMENU.DAT and TTMENY.SYS
The other files are for YSMENU I think.

 

I used a clean rom and followed your instruction on firmware stuff, and I still get the same error.

 

Try using the Hex Editor one more time.
This time try to follow as carefully as you can.

 

1: Google and download a program called XVI32. This is the hex editor I used.
2: Open your KH rom.
3: At the top click address, then click goto, then click hexidecimal.
4: Type 010E5DC into the box and click ok.
5: The first block should be highlighted and have 0C in it.
6: At the top click edit, click overwrite string, click hex string, in the bottom box type 37 and click ok.
7: Where it said 0C in the first box it should now say 37.
8: Click file, then click save.
9: Put the file you just saved on your flash cart and enjoy

Still the same error.
Maybe kh is not compatible with my ttds specifically!

 

Well do you have a normal DSTT?
Or something like DSTT advance?

Oh I found something
Do you still have the firmware?
Install it like this
Run ttextract.exe with OFFICIAL TTMENU.DAT.
ttdldi.dat and ttpatch.dat will be extracted.
Copy ttdldi.dat, ttpatch.dat and YSMenu.ini to TTMenu directory in TF.
Rename my YSMENU.nds to TTMENU.DAT and copy it to TF instead of official TTMENU.DAT

Then try to run Clean Rom

 

It's not a fake or anything. The card says DSTT for nds/ndsl. I got it in Korea last summer, but since there is no Korean on it, I assume it's imported straight from NA. (so not a Korean specific dstt) I play all U, EU, and K games on it. With either 1.17 or 1.18 firmware, my other games work fine. It's just this game I'm having trouble with.

I've searched around and disk errcode =-81 seems to be due to a bad copy of a game or due to sd card thing. Since my copy is clean, maybe I'll try to reformat my sd card.
