I used the updated version 1.19 for my R4 from the site. http://www.r4team.com/eng/downloads.htm

I normally had to go to this website to get my firmware. http://www.r4ds.cn/download/r4ds.html

The only difference is that the 1st link shown is the OFFICIAL and the 2nd link doesnt say its the official site. I copied it and it re-wrote the layout for my menu when I am selecting games and such. Was this ok to do or should I revert it back.
None-the-less it helped me through neverland and that stupid freezing glitch everytime I tried to fly. =D
Now the only question is how do I get the menu back to turn on and off action replay codes?

EDIT: so I just realized that on the menu for my R4 it says R4DS english version. Does this mean I have a R4DS and not just a regular R4?

 

R4DS is the original R4...
On the other hand, I don't understand why Kingdom Hearts isn't working. It works perfectly fine on my R4 after I downloaded a prepatched version of it. If doesn't freeze when Roxas wakes up...

 

The prepatched version works, but my data keeps turning corrupt for some reason. and i got to day 302. T_T. Can someone upload a save data?

Thanks. I got so far. T_T I spend a week got to day 96 it corrupted. I didn't mind then because I wansn't that far in. But day 302? That made me so angry. And for the record, the version i have is one by Xenophobia (U) that was prepatched by someone.

 

It works for me but at day 172 when Xion is on her bed after Roxas has left the room the screen just freezes and somebody help me? IM using an r4pro with akaio firmware unoffical its the best unoffical firmware i got it frop www.acekard.com

If you guys want, there is a fixed version of it. I have it. The only problem with mine is that the save data corrupts, so if you do want it, save over 9000 times every day (literally).

 

hey does anyone no how to explain all this in simple terms to a beginner like me lol? i also have the Edge card unlike everyone else with their r4s and other advance stuff. i cant really understand the directions so anyone no how to translate lol?

This is the English Rom we are speaking of. I managed to find a working one. But of course I said, the game corrupts your save data on my DS (This should be expected because altering the Hexidecimal Code can corrupt data at certain points in the game). Depends on what kind of emulator your using or if your playing it on a DS. The compatibility changes with the different flash carts. In the end it's better to buy the real one than use a Rom because the real one dosen't screw up when your 2 hours away from finishing a game (That's what happened to me.)

 

Hi i'm new to all this i downloaded KH 358/2 days (xenophobia) put it on my r4 and it freezes after you choose the difficulty level could some one help or is it just xenophobia files that don't work

The one by Xenophobia dosen't work because Square Enix implemented a Piracy Check. I have a fixed version, but i forgot the link. Try Searching "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (U) Xenophobia fixed props" on google. Or you can search the whole topic because that's where I found the link.
