Ur not using the gold ver i tried patched unpatched manual patched and it still freezes
somethings diffrent bout the gold than the othor versions the patches and editors don't work!

okay i went to sleep, now that im awake again, im reading these posts for the r4 users, i have an; R4 1.18v and running KH with no problem thus far, im on DAY 14 i got through the training exercises. I downloaded the already patched one from the first page of this topic.

and I downloaded the Pre-Patched Rom,
Re-patched it using Lunar ips
installed Akaio 1.5 firmware,
and now, no black screen of death

Tried all alternatives..Not working at all..Including patching it manually..Stuck at Roxas waking up.Then .when i used akaio ,the "loading" word turns from blue to red and then wot,stuck again ...=_+

Ok Everyone. Lets keep all information regarding issues with this game into one thread.
You should try the game with your flashcart before doing anything.

No$GBA Emulator
The same patched version of No$GBA 2.6 used to play the Japanese release works on the North American release.
You can download it here: No$GBA 2.6 (Patched)

Works clean on:
Acekard2i with AKAIO 1.5 Firmware
CycloDS with 1.56 BETA 3 Firmware

If it doesn't work, there is a patch available:

The hex edit patch works fine on many other flashcarts.
Note: Just because your card isn't listed here, doesn't mean it doesn't work. This is just a compiled list of confirmed working cards from the users in this forum.

Alternative patch
Anandjones' IPS Patch Use LunarIPS to patch. Select the khu.ips file, and then in filetypes, choose 'All files', and select your clean Kingdom Hearts (U).nds. This fix patches the same function of the address value change(below). Another program, cheers to ricky from IRC. -AJ

Dude, when I try to manually patch it and try to open my KH rom that I got from here. It says: "can't allocate additional memory to preform operation". What is that? Can anyone please help?

hey small question those of you (like myself) using r4's are you by chance using the YSMenu? I'm not, i forgot to mention this in previous posts. just standard equipment r4 1.18v, anything i have done with YSMenu does not work for me, even working games didnt run. But this is turely my last update. im on day 22 or so and completed my first set of missions. i have to say i think im addicted to this game.

hi im using r4i gold firmware v1.30 also tried 1.29 still not working. Tried manual and auto patch still didn't work... Been working for 4 hrs. can someone please tell me what's the best thing to do please i need this game to work and im tired....

I already tried to use akaio 1.4.1
on my r4i ultra. the akaio works
but it can't load the game.after
I select the game, the upper scree turns to white
and the touchscreen turns to black and freezes.
what should I do to make it work?

5. Insert your micro sd into your ds then turn on your ds
6. the R4 menu will show up but instead choosing your rom, you choose "AKMENU4.NDS"
7. Now the AKAIO menu will appear, then choose your KH game from there.
8. Play the game

Using this method I can play the game perfectly.

What's the good news ? With this method I can also play Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside.
So I can play both K.H 358/2 and M&L B.I on my r4ultra using this firmware that I upload in mediafire.

berfore patched only got up to choosing edifficulty
after manualy patching it is working perfectly....hopefully x]
