okay i can only find 1.54 and im using an R4i gold so lets try 1.54

Gold doesn't have a 1.54 firmware. If your box has R4ultra on it, then go to the R4ultra firmware section, click on it and it'll show other versions.

I'll give it a try later, suffering burn out at the moment.

One other option with R4i/Ultra would be to use the official Acekard menu, but... not 100% if it'll work, and if it does, still might not be good.

im trying a version 2.2 or sumthing for the r4i rts lets see how tht works for me
but i mite die of old age waiting for it also can you tell me how to use the acekards menu on the r4i aswell im downloading akaio 1.5

AKAIO will not work, clone cards are blocked. You'll need to use 1.4 for any joy. As for Acekard menu, download it from that site, then just install as you would any other firmware/menu.

Acekard menu was like the 2nd think i tired (build: ak2_418_20090730_release.zip)
acekard itself works and loads all the games and all... but still freezes after the bed video (where gameplay should start), using a sav file it also freezes on day 8, kind of every time it has to load something it freezes.

so basically acekard2 menu and the r4 ultra get stuck in the same parts (both using the hex modifications) without the mods it doesnt even load for neither.

I got it working on the DSTT as well as the supercard lite both with the latest firmware. I manually edited the rom with the instructions on page 1. Both cards were able to get to the Tutorial.

Works great with cyclo ds 1.56 beta 3, had to update from 1.55 screen went black after selecting start game.

Wondering if the people for whom this work have the non DSi compatible version? I have the R4i, which identifies itself as Ultra. No versions of AKAIO work. For the hell of it I followed those instructions to the letter, still no joy.

My card has R4Ultra on it, it is also 100% a genuine version of the card (as believe it or not there are fakes of the clones!)

the mega upload worked for a little bit but froze when the stroy started a little more. its getting farther but still freezing

I have an N5. I was trying to follow the hex editor step by step, but I can't seem to find the address button, to follow the steps from there. I can't open the extracted version, so I am doing it on a Winrar archive. What am I doing wrong?

i don't wanna be a pest but will an r4 deluxe using the ysmenu work for this?? i tried the manual thread changes and, as i recall, we had to do this with the japanese version as well.... the ysmenu worked last time and i'm really hoping it will work again. can anyone help??

I'm so glad it worked for the DSTT but one minor problem....
I cannot return back to the title when i go into the menu and push on "return to title" it just gives me a black screen
But meh, it doesn't really matter at all as long as i can do everything else and save
