i can confirm that that the pre patched version works for the r4i kernal 1.09 - dsi Not updated to 1.4

manual hex edit worked on my r4 through ysmenu. note that my r4 is bugged and doesn't even runn castlevania dawn of sorrow

i am using r4ds. I just follow this method and it's worked.

How did you get to day 149? Im stuck on day 118 and it freezes right before the grandstander game. I'm using an R4 1.18.

I'm starting to think that there more must 2 different HW revisions for the R4i/Ultra cards. I'm using an R4 Ultra and get the same symptoms.

I'm far from being a noobie, and understand how hex editing, patching, upgrades etc work. This is the only game I've ever had troubles with. Ordered an AK2 anyway now, but would still like to try and find a solution for others.


The fact that the (J) version with the partial English translation works is a bit of a puzzler!

Not promising anything as I've not really got much experience in DS hacking or any sort of hacking in general. Though I will be testing a lot of different things.

Can someone please post the game already patched i tried doing it manually and i tried the other thing where u put it in a program im using R4DS v1.18

Do you cheat codes? When I was using cheat codes, sometimes I get black screen/freezing problems. Now I play without codes, I don't get freezing problem again. Maybe I'm just lucky though. I'm also using R4 1.18.

Go to R4 Ultra on this site:

http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/

Try the different firmware versions, then range from 1.51 to 1.54, see if any of them work better (for easier testing have a manually patched rom, and an unpatched one).

hey, I'm new in patching and using any firmware in my NDSL. I just wanna know because I'm kinda confuse in all these instructions how to patch into the game KH. Plz help me understand. I have an R4i RTS as a firmware. so hopefully anyone of you could help me. Thankx.

okay kev im using an r4i but i think the r4 ultra is the exact same but anyway.... LETS DO THIS THING! um can you help aswell cos i can only find version 1.54

So just try the older versions, and maybe just maybe one will work The site is reputable.

I'm using the R4i as well, just an Ultra with DSi compatibility.
