If you have r4i then just use the 1.25 firmware. But if you have r4ultra just like me, this is how to get the game works :

1. Download the firmware kernel 1.54 for r4ultra at r4ultra.com
2. Download the AKAIO ver 1.4 (the v1.5 will not work)
3. Delete all the files of your old firmware on your micro sd
4. Copy all the files from kernel 1.54 and AKAIO 1.4 folder that you just download into your micro sd (yes, both. You mix those two firmwares on your sd)
5. Copy the Kingdom Hearts game into your sd (the patched one, not the clean one)
6. Insert your micro sd into your ds then turn on your ds
7. the R4 menu will show up but instead choosing your rom, you choose "AKMENU4.NDS"
8. Now the AKAIO menu will appear, then choose your KH game from there.
9. Play the game

Using this method I can play the game perfectly. And this method is only for r4ultra user.

There is another link for a already patched version of this game by Knightmare235, and I've just been playing on it and it goes right through the scene.

Are you sure? You are using the old R4 and v.1.18 right? With no YSMenu?

No. I am using R4 SDHC. I believe it's R4 Ultra, it just doesn't say it on the R4.
I patched, and tried like 5 different versions of the ROM.
I also tried downloading the pre-patched, but when it's finished downloading, and I extract it, it says its corrupted.
I downloaded the pre-patched 3 times, to ensure it wasn't a corrupted file.
I believe this happened to many others as well.

Well the manual patch doesnt work on ak 2.1 with regular R.P.G firmware
So im gonna try AKAIO

yep!!!
the manual hex editor works way too perfectly on supercard DSOne, no lag, no freeze, currently on day 72.
clean rom: freeze after diffilcuty choose
in V3.0 sp 8 (latest firmware)

On my R4SHDC with kernel 1.18, I've tried multiple ways, patched it, hexed manually, but everytime i click on the game in just freezes at the game loading icon, and then proceeds to a black screen ....

I have that new Gold R4i and it stops for me right after Roxas gets out of his bed.... I have done the manual patch and... I believe I have tried the auto patched one and clean one.... can someone please help....

You should try the game with your flashcart before doing anything.

No$GBA Emulator
The same patched version of No$GBA 2.6 used to play the Japanese release works on the North American release.

hey guys i didnt bother with the patch, i use my r4 and used the hex editor thing metioned above. it wont play on my no$emu thing but i runs perfectly fine on my ds now,
