i tried downloading the patched version off of megaupload, but it says my download limit is exceeded, i never even used mega upload... so i waited 7 minutes and it still says limit exceeded, wtf... any help???

i have every kingdom hearts game (also jap games) so this is very important to me.

just tried that patched version nightmare just posted, its seemed to have screwed uup my r4

my game freezes whenever i exit the synthesize screen from the shop. any1 else have this problem and found a fix? im using AK2i with AKAIO v1.5

This an update and good news for r4ultra user. I just Upload the firmwares that will make the game works. But this is for r4ultra only. (if your card have www.r4ultra.com printed on it) I don't know if other version of r4 like r4i can also do this method or not since I haven't test it.

1. Download the AKAIO 1.4.1 Proper and R4 Ultra Kernel 1.54 from here : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?b5kmnymkjkw
2. Delete all the files of your old firmware on your micro sd
3. Copy all the files from AKAIO 1.4.1 Proper and R4 Ultra Kernel 1.54 folder you just download into your micro sd (yes, you mix those two firmwares on your sd)
4. Copy the Kingdom Hearts game into your sd (the patched one with manual hex editor, not the clean one)
5. Insert your micro sd into your ds then turn on your ds
6. the R4 menu will show up but instead choosing your rom, you choose "AKMENU4.NDS"
7. Now the AKAIO menu will appear, then choose your KH game from there.
8. Play the game

Using this method I can play the game perfectly.

What's the good news ? With this method I can also play Mario and Luigi Bowsers Inside.
So I can play both K.H 358/2 and M&L B.I on my r4ultra using this firmware that I upload in mediafire.

Manually Patched on a R4DS Ysmenu 1.18, works..Very excellently so far. (At Day 12)

I've tried Knightmare's prepatched rom. It froze on the 7th day after Roxas woke up. I've also tried downloading the Hex Editor. My computer didn't let me for some reason, I've tried several times now. I'm using and R4 SDHc v1.18.

So...any tips?

I am using r4 ultra with the setting mentioned above and it works great. I am currently at day 10.

@ Carnage5690 - follow the manual hex edit instructions. It's been tested and works with both TTDS and TTDSi (TTi)

1: Google and download a program called XVI32. This is the hex editor I used.

2: Open your KH rom.

3: At the top click address, then click goto, then click hexidecimal.

4: Type 010E5DC into the box and click ok.

5: The first block should be highlighted and have 0C in it.

6: At the top click edit, click overwrite string, click hex string, in the bottom box type 37 and click ok.

7: Where it said 0C in the first box it should now say 37.

8: Click file, then click save.

9: Put the file you just saved on your flash cart and enjoy

The instructions are pretty straight forward. Just read each step twice, and make sure you don't make any mistakes. It also helps to make a back-up copy of your game.

I did the manual patch for my R4 1.18.
Hex editing is fun >:}
but for Step 4, What do you do with the $0 they put default there? delete it?

I use Supercard MiniSD firmware 1.84.

Before apply this patch, game loading, I choose story mode => new game, and on difficulty I choose Standard Mode. And then BSoD/KSoD (Black Screen of Death).

After apply this patch, game loading, I choose story mode => new game, and on difficulty I choose Standard Mode. And then intro appears. I hope it will continue without problem.

the game works fine for dstt if u hex edit, havent tried the patching.

im already on day 51

It works for me on the R4, but after Roxas' awakens, the black screen appears, and the bgm freezes. Help?
