Jaywalking

back then the highway in front of my house doesnt have a over bridge. so i run a cross that highway all the time, its fun and i got some close call but never get hit. is that jaywalking?

I only Jaywalk when there is little-no cars around but a lot of people j-walk in the city, like A LOT

If you have, then you have seen a crosswalk without lights.

Even if there were lights at the crosswalk, I still would've gotten hit.
