You assume that all paedophiles will rape anything underaged that moves. Or sometimes even if it's not moving.

...Damn. Why can't I live in Maryland? Why can't Kramer be my neighbour?!

    Blunt but true.

The bill seems to sound like something that was was written up without knowing the full consequences of the bill if it ever came into power.

For any of you who don't know, Japan's economy is in a terrible state at the moment. With a bill like this in power; anime (revolving around schools), manga, doujinshi, and games will be effected. The collapse of the Japanese economy would be likely with this in place.

    Oh and a small update:

The decision on the ban has been suspended until the next TMA (Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly) session.

Well, what if someone is turned on by fruit?

    What will they do then?

Is not going to happen due to traditional market laws that existe before loli and other taboo stuff.

Any literature or film which might be thought to constitute a depiction of sexual activity involving or apparently involving a person under 18, someone dressed in a manner reminiscent of an under-18, or who speaks like an under-18, may not in Tokyo be viewed by or sold or distributed to any young person.

... Was i the only one who saw that part?

Look at it this way. At least they're doing it only with Lucky Star members and not real children.

    Finally :p

Japan should have done something about this stuff years ago.

But banning is not the answer because that's too extreme, a more strict policy on the distribution of porn should be the answer.

MY TENTACLE RAPE FANTASY, IT CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVES LOLI!!@!#!@!@!@

On a serious side note, it's better for the internet's sake when underage material is strictly banned. Wouldn't want the feds on your door for downloading a dubious AVI from 4chan.
