Though breeding times for humans are generally lower mid month and in hotter seasons

 

Easy. 366. 365 (1 for each day), and 1 more to act as a wild card, the wild card matching with any day of the year.

But what if person number 366 was born on February 29th?

So the real answer is 367 to be 100% certain that you'll have two matching birthdays in a group of people. 366 to be about 99.9% sure.

Yes, I used OpenOffice to made that one.
But I also needed the web to back me up.
It's helpful when you can derive such things by your own.
I even wrote a little program to calculate that likelihood.

That's why I know it's higher than 50% with 23 people.

 

Getting back to the thread started, my birthday is on December 17.
