is resident evil 4 an extreme horror game?

see it's fun, you're starting to like it. just enjoy the game and avoid trigger happy. ohh keep it up, fight the horror. save your shotgun ammos, you'll be needing it later. your handgun will do, just aim for the head or knee.

btw, don't get too nervous when you hear some chainsaw sound or you see a regenerator behind you. get your grenades ready as always.

I didn't think RE4 was scary, just full of blood and guts and gore and guns and a Leon Kennedy who doesn't look as gorgeous as he used to. Except in fanart, drawn by perverted women...

It was fun though, just not the kind of thing that'll make anyone to hide behind a couch.

 

No...that's an iron maiden, they shoot spikes...they have a bit more range...


I think there is fewer of those than the regenerators, but they are a b**** all the same.

The music scared me at first when i saw my first...I fired a rocket and thought "heh heh this'll work...WTF NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"


I didn't have the scope at this point so I emptied everything I had on it, and this was on normal

 

i felt nervous the first time i saw a regenerator inside that creepy lab. well the iron maiden is a lot scarier than regenerators, and they can do serious damage. you have to hide ashley in trash bins too. it will be a waste to fire a rocket launcher to it. you really need the scope to survive.

 

oh so that is an iron maiden? mmmm... i wonder how metallica should look in this game?

 

I object to the use of the word "maiden" used to describe that monster. "Your mother-in-law" is a much more suitable term!

There are gorier games, like Left For Dead 2. But RE4 comes close...
