Couldn't you just change these ancient, never returning usernames to something like "Needsnewname67" and have no problem at all?

 

I'm kind of on a Rurouni Kenshin kick for the first time in the better part of a decade, so let's change my username to reflect it:

Himura Battōsai

Or if special characters aren't allowed:

Himura Battousai

The former is preferred, but either is ultimately okay.

 

The guy logged in for three minutes, didn't post anything anything at all in the forums and hasn't been active at all since he first made his account. I'm sure he will be completely heartbroken if he ever logs back again and hate us all forever. He probably wouldnt even remember what his old handle was.

I had Aeither for over 1 year. I am pissed off because I still have Calo3Productions as my username on everything else.
I want to have one awesome username for everything I use.

So Skype, Steam, RomU and other things. Xena is awesome and I took it on Steam and Skype. Now I want RomU.
