I can see the connection. The nazis, like most other authoritarian regimes, 'regulated' (read: censored) the media to make sure only the messages they wanted were disseminated to the public. Admittedly the nazis did it less than some other regimes (such as the soviet regime, and the current chinese and north korean regimes). While censorship may not be the stated intent of SOPA, thats what it boils down to, and ultimately what it would be used for. Piracy is just a thin excuse.
I live in Australia and i just heard from our news channels that because of this the english version of wikipedia will die tomorrow. Damn, this SOPA group is trying to break the internet.
