I disliked the Kingdom of the Crystal skull, not for the "nuked the fridge" scene. Because lets be honest, Indiana Jones has never been realistic. But simply because as George Lucas goes on, his work becomes more unbearable. (though thats just a personal opinion). Hopefully number 5 will bring justice to the franchise~
Of course not, the unrealistic nature is part of its charm. But in the eyes of some, can be part of its downfall. I guess it all falls down to personal taste, like everything really. But as I hear the "nuked the fridge" scene got a massively negative response regardless of people knowing that Indiana isn't meant to be realistic, is kinda strange but then again, somewhat understandable.
I like to be unrealistic but with a certain logic. For example, he would take an ancient potion from a tribe that would protec him from the radiation.
