Well, there are no trees in vacuums or space, so it would still make vibrations no matter what is there to pick it up.

 

anything that exists according to our senses exists when we aknowledge it through our senses.
sound exists as a form of entity, and for that entity to exists there has to be someone there to acknowledge it. since there is no one there to acknowledge the sound, then the sound doesn't exists.

 

We know it exists even if it isn't there. And I knew you would join this conversation soon, ultra.

 

if some one cant hear than sound dos not exist to them, if humans could not pick up sound then sound world not exist

 

this is philosophy at its finest! you know, if this catches on, then you have also proven that god does not exist. because we cannot see/hear/touch/taste/smell god, so how could he be out there?

also, by this logic, you don't exist either. i cannot acknowledge you directly through my senses, so you don't exist. all i know of you are indirect traces, much like a recording of the sound makes when a tree falls in a forest...

 

of course it makes a sound its jus that no is there to hear it.....

 

It makes a sound, because it is matter, and the actual "Bumping" of matter does create a sound, and if you ahve no common sense, then you say it doesn't, then obviously you ahven't heard a tree fall, and if a tree falls, it makes noise, but no one is there to prove WHEN the noise occured, but the noise did occur.
