    And we're talking about racial mixing? So you suggest a sort of selective breeding to happen between humans so they mix more?

    Evolution can happen selectively or naturally

    As evidence dictates that selective breeding can go very wrong

    No, evolution has only been shown to happen naturally. Mutation has been shown through selectivity. I would imagine that evolution could be man-made in the future, but that has not happened yet.

    It's shown in dogs in that some dogs have improved hearing and strength through selective breeding

    mutations occur naturally as well, white tigers are a natural mutation of normal tigers.

    Yes, even in humans there are natural mutations

    If i'm not right, are mutations not the start to evolution?

    yes, but not the only start as far as I know. It depends whether its 'normal' evolution or 'forced/rapid' evolution. Normal evolution is what everyone knows about, and is often genetically driven, 'forced/rapid' is when an species has to evolve quickly to survive a sudden change in their environment.

    Humans are at an evolutionary standstill at the moment. There IS no selection. Everybody lives. Everybody breeds. Everybody has children with VERY few exceptions. The weak, the strong, the ill, the healthy, the mentally sound and unsound- everybody. Even if there are minor changes or mutations in anyone, they will be shortlived, hardly go anywhere, or just go unnoticed. There's nothing right now that'll give someone an advantage over someone else in terms of passing on their DNA... other than where they live.

    That's why a lot of scientists say that Humans are at the peak of our own natural evolution and the only way we could evolve beyond our current state properly is through technology.

    And Nature really needs to come up with something to deal with the breeding situation in humans. Because let's face it Swine Flu isn't doing anything...

    swine flu isn't an attempt at controlling our population, it's just an attempt at making life less boring. When the real population control arrives we won't know what's hit us.

    There is some mutations in people that are genetically passable and significant but nobody wants to go to report it as they will lose their human rights

    stuff happened . alot of people where confused . a chicken walked out .

    same way everything else was made obviously. the chicken is no exception. it evolved from some other species

    The egg came first. Over years and years of evolution the Trex slowly became the chicken.

    But I like Nitebrakers thought.
