How to get cheats on psp

look at image step #4 .....thats all you have to enable

I just couldn't get this to work at all...because the vsh file is not included in the cheatdata base. I have the extracted the INSTALL folder but without the vsh file. I do not know what I am doing it wrong. By the way I just upgraded mine to prometheus. I really wish I could use the cheat though because I am stuck in some games and I desperately need a fix.

 

changed the thread to have a visual tutorial

you dont need a vsh file to make it work, try now with the visual tutorial to see if it helps

Yeah, I finally got it to work! Thank you very much. Btw, the visual thingy clears up a lot of confusion. Does the CFW works for PSX games? I mean can I use the db editor and add the codes in and it will work exactly for psp games?

 

if you mean adding cheats to psx games for psp, then yes, that one uses the cheatpops.db file.

Yeah, I know, my bad.
But the visuals did help, so we know it works (just as it did for me, when i started.)

I got the cheatpops.db working after much research into the net. The edit editor didn't work for me but only using alterations through notepad did the codes work. Yeah, that calls for a celebration, as I have not been able to use cheats since I got my psp long time ago Anyway, thanks for the help, this is a good thread and people do seek out help, keep up the good work. You'll be surprised that there are people who actually need this kinda of help....like me...LOL
