Ok so I've decided to get one, its just the matter or when. So I was researching and I wanna buy at least 2-5 games cause I want to have variety because I get bored sometimes and because games here cost a lot. So I was thinking of getting Final Fantasy XIII(despite what people say, I'm a FF fan), Bayonetta, Resonance Of Fate and Batman Arkham Asylum and Maybe Assassin's Creed, any of those anyway. I want to get at least 1 casual game in the likes of Katamari, Sims or Animal Crossing vibe. Any suggestions? and if yu have any other suggestions on games be my guest. Use my list as a basis of what kind of games im into.

AC: Brotherhood is pretty cheap now as a new one is coming out soon.
I would suggest you also get Fallout 3 (NOT New Vegas). It's a good game with plenty of gibs, open ended gameplay, a MASSIVE game world, and no fps skills required because of V.A.T.S.

As for casual games, I'd stay away from the console Sims games. They are rarely as good as the PC versions.

Get Assassin's Creed 2 or later.

FFXIII has it's flaws, but I haven't found a single JRPG that is better.

Resonance of Fate virtually has no story for the first half of the game, and I found the battle system awkward. There's temporary damage with SMGs, and permanent damage with pistols that make the temporary damage permanent. Then there's the whole aiming aspect which is pretty much broken. You can't shoot from very far because the aiming reticule charges up super slow from afar and you basically lose your turn because you got shot. So the only way to really deal damage is to get up real close with the SMGs and send the guy with the pistol to finish the kill. And since you either have 2 guys with SMGs and 1 guy with a pistol or 1 guy with an SMG and 2 guys with pistols, you'll be bottlenecked on speed killing because you'll only be able to kill a maximum of 1 enemy per set of turns, unless you do this Tri-Attack thing, which is taken away about halfway through the game since one of your party members leave.

FFXIII may have button mashing, but at least it's combat system isn't broken. You'll mostly have it pick the attacks for you because the battles are too fast paced to pick them manually. Even with that, the game is pretty hard in certain segments either because you aren't leveled up enough, or the boss requires a specific strategy to kill it.

As far as Bayonetta goes, get God of War Collection and/or God of War 3.

I would also suggest Borderlands (GOTY edition or buy the DLC on PSN), and Valkyria Chronicles. Great RPGs with first person/third person shooter aspects. These both have more emphasis on the RPG elements so you don't have to be good at first-person shooters to enjoy these.

Every console needs a good sandbox game so either GTA IV or Saints Row 2.

Oh yeah, definitely get GTA4. Saints Row 2 is bit too... "gangsta" for me, that's why I prefer GTA4. Also, better graphics :p

Get new Vegas. Its just as good as Fallout 3. Also, agreed on the Saints Row 2 thing, it feels like they tried too hard to be gangsta, though when you dick around in the game its pretty fun.

Also, the character and car customization is great fun. Half the fun of that game is making the most preposterous villain ever :p

I actually liked Saints Row 2 better than GTA IV because it was actually playable without cheats, and by that, I mean your health regenerated if you took cover. I could never get really far in GTA IV unless I used at least the health cheat and that was a pain in the ass to activate every time since if you got shot, the phone would be put away.

Also, it was much easier to get away from cops in Saints Row 2, even at the higher wanted levels. I recall just cruising until they stopped chasing me. In GTA, if you so much as had a 3 star rating, you were pretty much screwed.

Also, Saints Row 2 implemented what GTA IV failed to implement until The Lost and Damned and that's the ability to take more than one person with you if you have a car or bike that isn't able to accommodate all of them. That limitation ruled out any fast 2-seaters for missions.

Saints Row 2 may be glitchy in a lot of places, like teleporting me inside of a building that you can't get out of after a mission, but at least it never magically deleted my car after missions like GTA IV did. It's like that game wanted me to steal cars. I had one of the fastest cars, and it just goes and gets rid of it after a mission.

As for more games to recommend, you'll probably want to pick up GT5 now. They finally added realistic looking damage in one of the patches. My only gripe with the game now is that every car still sounds like a Honda Civic, even the Corvette ZR-1 RM. And still no Shelby GT500 (old or new) no modern Charger, no Roush or Saleen Mustangs, but hell, we have 90 different Civics, Miatas, RX-7s, Integras, NSXs, and the entire GT4 car list, bar the Viper Competition Concept that I used to dominate with.

And you do need at least one game of every genre. Who knows, you might like a certain genre that you weren't expecting.

I was the same in GTA IV. The only way to escape from the higher level cops in GTA IV is to use the cheats :p

I don't know why, but i found GTA IV to be more... serious, and realistic than Saints Row 2. While the character and car customization was great, there was just something goofy about how the game played. Their desperate attempts at being "gangsta" came off as comedic and really ruined the feel of it. Of course, a fat transvestite clown wouldn't help much :p

Saints Row 2 was supposed to be more comical. That should have been apparent as soon as you got to the character customization screen when picking the facial expression.

Saints Row 2 has a lot of features that GTA used to have and for some stupid reason, aren't in GTA IV. Car customization and buying up businesses apparently didn't make the cut in GTA IV.

Also, the pacing in SR2 was pretty good. First few missions were action-packed and at that same point in GTA IV, you were buying clothes. Not to mention I still haven't beaten GTA IV because the game just DRAGS ON.

    @Tarotmaniac
When you do get FFXIII, prepare to not have ANY fun until Chapter 11 and everything opens up, but be extremely thorough when going through the Chapters because there's no turning back, and DO NOT sell any items obtained through those chapters because they're unique to those chapters and they'll need upgrading to unlock the trophy for holding every item at least once.

Oh, and have fun Adamantoise farming.

IMO There is more fun in the first 5 minutes of Saints Row 2 than in the whole game of GTA4... I have never really like the whole forced character concept and have preferred to make my own characters.. The distractions are a lot of fun (car surfing for one) and you can make the most horrendous looking characters.. I had fun just walking around using street signs and parking metres to hit people.. And as for throwing old ladies in front of cars, well that never gets old
