Just for the record, downloading for us Malaysians can be a pain in the a** as we are banned from megaupload, fileserve and some of the other providers. This just go without saying, it sucks and thumbs down to the censorship. Don't they realise there are a lot of premium users and there are many useful files uploaded through these providers. I don't know about you guys but I am really unhappy about this. Makes our lives more miserable and it just shows how irrelevant the censorship is. Talk about being backward...I think we might as well go back to the caves era. Did anyone get affected by the censorship? Although I heard one can bypass it by using google public proxy but this has slowed the process in return...what the heck then we need UNIFI when we can't download...it makes no sense!!

 

Oh, didn't know this thread still alive.

Of course it affect most of us, and at least 10 of the file-sharing sites has been banned.
speaking of this, I miss my torrent.

Also, SKMM is just plain stupid.

as for megaupload and other website baning, if you are using a router, on your PC

1. goto network settings,
2. click on properties,
3. select internet protocol (tcp\ip) and click on properties
4. enter 8.8.8.8 on the preferred DNS server and enter 8.8.4.4 on the alternative DNS server.
5. click on o.k, walla you just by pass TM net laughable DNS filter >.>

well i hate law and banning on the internet.

i wonder if they still said internet is free in the IT text book now days with all the stupid laws and censorship. i miss the internet in the 90's...

also if any malaysia know any lawyer friends, please ask him\her if we can file a class action lawsuit on TM net for censoring the internet.

they already provided a crappy internet services and now they censor the internet? also i blame china for starting this baning bullshit.
