I dont know about micro xp but on normal xp classic view speeds it up a lot on a slow pc.
Micro xp is the better option imo, at least if its anything like tiny 7, that was really fast.
And you would keep the best OS with its nice looks and all its compatability.

i actually ran 95 in a VM, without installing VMWare tools, and i didn't have to install any drivers...

before i install it on her PC, i will run it in a VM, allocating it the same RAM she has, and see how it goes! ^_^

USB didn't exist when 95 was released. Windows 95C had minimal USB support but it sucked. It wasnt until 98 that USB worked properly, and even then USB thumb drives hadn't been invented so they need drivers installed to work.

based on that, the earliest i will go with her computer is 2000...still downloading Tiny/Micro XP...then i need to finish downloading VMWare since i lost my installer file T_T

okay, I've installed Tiny XP in a VM, with 256 MB's of RAM, it runs pretty quickly compared to her current...so will it run like that installed on her computer?!?!?!?!

bad idea, it comes at the expense of stability, requires better cooling and shortens the life of the processor. And not all processors overclock.

holy crap, this PC is actually worse than mines! Well, I have 256MB of RAM too!! LOL, rediculous that I run XP pro on it which the minimum would be 512MB.

    What if it had Vista...

..it would suck even more ballz
