the differences are probably the one click variety; delete, warn, ban, bishslap, pwn, supapwn, etc.

 

If you're so interested what the buttons are then you could make your own smf forum and make several different accounts each with a different setting. Although this would only give a brief idea as some buttoms/commands are made by the admin.
