Help loading shining force 3 in SSF

spent 3 entire days trying to get this to work, downloaded every emulator and had every problem possible. used daemon tools, magic iso, cdmage. had direct x problem with ssf, yabuse crashed when i tried setting the keys, cassini says something about bios. got ssf to run and then it said disc format unsuitable! finally got it to run and it went to a white screen and said couldnt read disc(or something) about 5mins into game :-\

 

if you read this thread, you will notice Shining Force 3 is corrupted, the link I provided is to a working iso

just noticed you said 5 mins into the game, so you got it working?

 

yeah it works. sort of. but even the new working download crashes just after it says 1st chapter and zooms into the town. it says disc unreadable clean cd(or similar)

 

I would guess it was your emulator, as this works fine for me,

what emulator and version are you using?


and are you using Bios?, the right Bios?

 

im using ssf 011 alpha r1
using us bios, tried it with japan bios too

;D just tried it with ssf 010 alpha r1 and it plays!!
it plays really choppy though

this is probably because im still on xp?

any advice on settings to make it run smoother?

 

ok, i am using SSF_010_Beta_R1, i can only suggest you try this 1, as it works for me,


If you still having problems, i will upload my emulator to mega-upload for you, let me know if you need me to

 

its almost there, i can live with it till i work it out.

its probably my computer if yours plays ok.

Thank you all so much! This is the third time I'm watching the intro to SF 3 ever in my life! (it took me a long time to register for romulation ) Your help made my night after literal hours of effort.
