No, it doesn't work like that. Basically it overwrites your current firmware, regardless of which version you already have (or even no firmware on it at all), it overwrites the firmware files, not work with them.

 

i have a dstt card and it freezes. v1.16 firmware. any suggestions??

 

Backup and reformat your MicroSD.

 

I just bought the game from Best Buy, I pick it up at lunch. My first contribution to Nintendo since the R4 came out.

I figured that I'd stop complaing or try to figure it out cause I heard that it's not compatible with the R4. It's a late birthday or early Christmas for myself. Times are really tough!

For those who wants this game for their children, I will let you know later if it's worth the $30.

 

i got the same problem of BLACK screen ( R4 lastest ver )

Got this from the gbatemp forum, and works like a charm. Thanks baronluigi.

Download the following, unrar, rename to match name of Hello Kitty ROM, and put on DS card. You will now be able to play/start new game.

Works on DSTT, R4, M3 Simply.

I was kinda worried that more games in the future wouldn't work on the r4 anymore... Hooray for pirates and hackers...

 

Help needed renamed file as per save file already on ds.Cancelled original save and put on
new renamed file tried on both DSTT and original R4 game them creats another save file and
stops after start. What am i doing wrong all firmware up to date.

BTW... this game was SOOO not worth all the hoo-ha!!! I played for exactly 10 minutes... It's kind of like animal crossing with the Sanrio characters only the mini games are sooo stupid, the controls are clumsy and feels lagged... Anyway... All I can say is WHAT a let down!!

 

I have the R4 SDHC it has the latest firmware. I'm having difficulty getting the hello kitty game to work. Everything is fine until the touch to start screen then it goes black. Have any suggestions. Thanks.

Most likely not. Have you tried ARM7 patching?
