I would rather pay a local shop / friend to build it for 50.

I was gonna do that to get an Alienware PC, till I found out that they're just Dell XPS with the Alienware logo on them

Alien ware is just a name. Like Nike trainers -- they may not be any better, but you pay more. You just pay for the name, sadly. Gaming computing is always cheaper if you shop around and buy yourself; I just wish laptops had the same viability in terms of making them yourself.

That is a very good build for a gaming machine. The graphics card is more than enough to handle current games at a Med-High settings with med-high AA and AF settings. Without AA and AF it's a surefire High setting build. Only two things that I would recommend, that you get a higher watt PSU. The power supply you have would be very risky, especially with the CPU and RAM setup that you have selected. At best it's the minimum PSU that you need to run that setup. Go with a 500\550W if possible.

My second recommendation would be bumping the RAM up and instead of getting 800Mhz, go for 1066Mhz. I used to run 2 GB G-Skill 800Mhz RAM and switched to the 1066Mhz version last summer. The speed increase was actually rather noticeable! Went from a ten second startup to an impressive seven and a half second startup! I'm also able to press Alt-Tab from MW2 and it pulls windows up right away, whereas it'd take a good five or ten seconds with the 800Mhz RAM.

To answer your question though, this PC is a great build for gaming. Teaming AMD and ATi is definitely a good choice! :) Happy Gaming!

This is better than my PC! Anyways, That is quite decent but I (and others) suggest you get a larger Hard Drive because 320GB for games is just not enough. You should get 500GB if your playing GTA, COD and other games because these days, games range from 2GB to 20GB, depending on the game and how much ouy want to install (which is an option in the Installation part of your games)

Its A RUBBISH spec for a gaming rig, best to get a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT, 1TB harddisk and lots of ram, dont get XP at all as it wont support most games and is very problematic. then get CRYSIS, its a crap game but it will test your PC's performance.

You clearly do not have a clue what you are talking about. XP will run virtually any game in the last 10 years.

Aside from Vista only games, such as Halo 2...
but that's why people have made patches and hacks for it...
